We stayed in a room with bath tub, the room was nice and cleaners visited everyday. Also stayed in the standard garden view room, it was pretty basic. The hotels right on the beach and only short walk to the main street.

Good Location

We stayed a week here. We initially booked something further from the beach, but because we wanted to be there when the wind was right to surf we moved to Bullabog. This place offered the most reasonable price. It is however one of those places where you can freely fantasize about what you would do with the place if it were yours. It has great potential: perfect location, well sized rooms, nice inner garden, roof terrace etc... But the management just doesn't seem to notice that.... The rooms are OK, but old, beds are saggy and mattresses a bit damp. The bar is one of those sportsbars where they just turn on 5 TV's so you don't have to talk to each other (they stop at 10 pm though, so it won't disturb your sleep!). 

One day we saw a dog do what dogs do (TripAdvisor won't allow me to use the word..) in the garden and the gardener chased him away. He didn't bother to clean up the produce though, and 4 days later it was still there. For us, that sort of symbolized how this place is managed. They make an effort, but just don't quite finish it somehow. Staff at the reception were very friendly by the way. 

So, if you are looking for an OK place to stay right next to the beach which you will mainly use just to sleep, you can try BKR: ask for a good discount in advance! If you want a reiaxng place where you can also spend some time, I suggest you look for something else.

OK place if you'll mainly be just sleeping there

We stayed there for 4 nights and the experience was bad at first, because we could not find the hotel as there are no signboards to show the location we went around the place for about an hour.In the end we went to the Boracay Kite Resort and asked someone to fetch us from there. However, even though it is late at night the staffs were helpful and friendly to help us check-in after a long flight. 

When we first entered our room, it was as per the pictures shown in agoda. It was clean and spacious. We liked how the room was designed and the maintenance was good. There were also cooking equipment provided. 

What we really liked about the place is that it is less of a hotel but more of a cosy enclave. Basically you are staying at the owner's place where some of the floors are converted to rooms for travelers. They also have a super friendly husky and we always love that he was there to greet us at the door when we came back to the apartments. They have a very spacious & beautiful garden right at the entrance of your room. 

Besides the dog, they also have nightly visits from ants, millipedes & mosquitoes. So be armed with insect repellent if you dont want to wake up with mosquito bites. This does not destroy the experience there as all these insects are inevitable. So just dont be shocked if you have visits from your insect counterparts. 

Another factor to note is that though the staffs are friendly, there are no concierge services. As the staffs there are just helpers to the owner and not really the staffs of the hotel. Sometimes when you are in need of them to help you with certain things like exchanging of towel, it may be hard to find them and there will be no sources to be able to get them. 

However, the overall stay was great and i will still recommend the hotel to other travelers.

Awesome experience

Sorry "Kite Resort" but I'm going to be harsh. Thats my first ever rating that has less than 3 stars - so it's hard to disappoint me. We booked tranfer by boat and bus with Kite resort. By the time we arrived at the Kalibo airport, we had a surprise - nobody was there to pick us up, and it was late at night so no other transfers. Later the hotel staff explained that the transfer company won't make bookings after 5pm. Well nice to find out about that at the airport. So we paid for our extra transfer and organized our own private boat to get to the island at 2 at night. The room was no-where near to what we expected. From the photos on your website it seemed quite nice and clean. But the room was stinky, damp, small and the air-conditioning was making sounds as if I was sleeping on a construction site. The price was way too high for this type of room. So we only stayed for one night and found another hotel the next day which was about 10 times nicer with the same price.
The only good thing - location - right on the beach where the kite- and windsurfing is happening.
And the staff at the counter was friendly and understood our concern. So at least they had a nice attitude.
