We stayed recently at the Carolina Egg Guesthouse in Oxapampa. The price was very fair, with breakfast included, so to be frank, we didn't expect much. Situated right in town, less than 5 minutes from the bus station, the guest house is set in its own grounds, full of flowers and fruit trees. It has a very small pool, in a sun spot, so the water is not cold. The rooms were modest, but clean, with a TV, and a shower with hot water between certain hours. Outside the room was a communal fridge, kettle and microwave. Breakfast was really excellent, with fresh local products. People working in the restaurant were really kind. Our experience exceeded expectations in terms of price / value and we will go back I'm sure.
