My husband Mike and I are traveling around the world on our bicycles and we wanted to stop and see the Incan Ruin of Tipón.  The visit to the ruins was nice but the stay at Villa Pachatusan was even nicer.  The grounds are lovely with small white casitas and a beautiful garden.  We enjoyed watching a humming bird from our little deck.  What makes this place truly special though is the people.  Julia, Isa and Carmen are warm and welcoming and so very helpful.  They set us up with a taxi to take us to the ruins, and cooked us a marvelous dinner when we returned tired and hungry.  We had colds so they made us tea with did everything they could to make us feel better.  The breakfast was good, oatmeal, eggs, ham and cheese and lots of toast and bread.  They even packed us a lunch for the road.  We had a wonderful time with the sisters and honestly did not want to leave.

Wonderful place to be

We just returned from our stay at Villa Pachatussan. Julia, Isa and Carmen simply spoiled us. The very beautiful compound with charming bungalows was the perfect place to relax and renew ourselves while exploring mystical Cuzco and Machu Pichu. Zen is the main theme in this establishment which has an art room and meditation room surrounded by gorgeous flowers and amazing mountains.

Stayed there last year (July 2012) and the hosts Isabel and Julia live in my heart since then. Beautiful place, beautiful Japanese style villa...meditation room, art room - it's all so charming! So loving and peaceful energy there...it felt like we just came to see our family we didn't see for a long time...unforgettable!

I just fell in love with the place and the hosts

We stayed in Villa Pachatusan in June 2012 which is right outside Cusco, a retreat away from the noise and rush of the city.  The Inn is a group of independent villas connected by a very nicely maintained garden and with very beautiful views of the mountains.  The rooms are very nicely decorated and very comfortable with a unique and beautiful style, you can't believe that a place like this exists around Cusco. I could not thank enough the hosts, Julia and Isabel, who were extremely nice. They made tea for us when we arrived and sandwiches when we left.  We got to use their meditation room and Isabel was our host and instructor.  Our only regret is that we stayed only for one night, but we will be back.

Quiet and Relaxing on a very beautiful place

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast type of place. Very hands-on. Run by an extremely friendly and fun loving family. They make great meals and keep everything very clean. This is not in the heart of Cusco. About 25 min. to downtown. It is the quiet countyside. Nearby a few excellent ruins. I went on a bike ride to a beautiful lake and ruins that we had practically all to ourselves. I didn't see one other tourist. The staff are reliable and helpful and have taxis that they work with. Hot water and beautiful rooms. This is a very social and hands on experience. They made us feel like part of the Family, so if you are looking to be disconnected and not interact with the locals than go to a touristy hotel. If you like making personal connections than this is the experience for you.
