I stayed here in August 2008, for a few days between arriving with a backpacker-type tour group from Quito and leaving with another for Santiago de Chile.  It was a beautiful, traditional home in the quieter suburb of Barranco, which has grocery and eating places nearby and is still walking distance from the tourist centre of Miraflores.  A small, friendly place, just right to have a community feel and to get to know other travellers.

It's a very nice place, close to nightclubs (bars, discos, restaurants), also close to supermarkets, well located, with very good transportation nearby, nice area, a very recommended and economical place.

The hotel is not as luxurious but full. It is clean, cozy, not very luxurious but stands out in comparison to other hotels in the valley. It has a coach and the first floor there is a nice little balcony. Recommended if you have to rest near a valley and you want a clean place and not a bad house.

Clean and quiet.

The hotel is very nice, very friendly and the servers are very kind. They talk with friendliness and courtesy. the customers are in their own home. education and courtesy. The cost is very cheap.

It's very sweet and friendly.

It's simple, cheap and cheap: the perfect recipe for a hostel. The staff is also available and kind (they gave us a large room as we traveled with so many suitcases). Crossing Grau you arrive in 10 minutes on foot to the beautiful Plaza principal of Barranco.

The location is good, as it is close to the boulevard de Barranco and away from the hustle and bustle of the area, so you can easily rest.

For one night.

Barranco is gradually moving into Lima's cultural center, which includes the street art scene, and I am very pleased to have finally found a cheap hotel in Lima that is well located and well managed. This is not self-sufficient for Lima, because other cheap hotels are either in unattractive neighborhoods or are shady. After numerous hotel changes over the past few years, I may have found a new accommodation in Lima.

Good and cheap in Lima's most interesting district

It is a modest and comfortable hotel with everything necessary to spend a stay, no more than three days.The rooms are not spacious but if necessary, and totally clean. the attention of the staff is more than right. the location is also close to all the restaurants and bars of the Bohemian Barranco.

 Good quality price ratio

We stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting my husband's family in the nearby suburb of Chorrillos.  Our double room was quite spacious and always very clean.  We did have to always have the fan turned on (even while sleeping) as it was quite hot and stuffy in the rooms, however we were there in the middle of Summer, so this probably isn't the case all year round.  The owner and reception staff were always very friendly to us, and the owner's dog greets everyone who enters which was lovely.  However, some of the other staff that clean the rooms were not friendly at all, as at one time when we were in our room in the middle of the day, we had a cleaner just open our door and come in without even knocking... when he realised we were in there, he just turned around and closed the door without even an apology.  That was pretty bad, but it did only happen the one time.

The wifi was also pretty spotty.  We were on a room right at the back of the hostel, and depending where we were standing in the room we could have no signal to half-strength signal.

I loved the location of this hostel.  It's less than a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Barranco where all the restaurants and bars are located, but it's far enough away so that you don't hear all the noise when you're sleeping, but not far enough to feel unsafe when walking home at night.

Great value hostel, however I wouldn't recommend it to families, as nearly every night we heard other couples in nearby rooms 'enjoying themselves'.  All the rooms also have a 24 hour free adult channel on the TVs, so this hostel seems pretty geared to couples.

Pro- location was good, easy to get to Miraflores and central Barranco, but quiet in the evening. 

Con- no tea/coffee facilities in the room (but also haven't seen this in other places), bed was very hard.
