Breakfast surprisingly good! Hosts are nice and the location is good.
We booked a room with a private bathroom; when we came there, there was only one shared bathroom one floor above and unfortunately the cleanliness was disappointing. Before midnight we were disturbed by noise right next to our room. Room was tiny and bed was semi-comfortable.

The private room was pretty nice, with a comfortable bed, enough storage space and a tv (if you want to use that during your holiday). The owners were really nice and the breakfast was amazing! They prepare a small buffet with plenty of choice and you can have as much as you like. 

The bathroom was pretty much okay, but is shared with an entire floor. Because the other rooms were booked aswel, there were several moments when I wanted to use the bathroom while it was occupied. The living room on the ground floor is used as the entrance and breakfast space, which also means that whenever you come in or go out, you pass by the family. Sometimes I felt a bit awkward 'invading' the family life. I wouldn't say the rooms and house were dirty, but it wouldn't hurt to clean everything a bit more often. 

In general I would say that this place is okay if you want to have some more time to yourself or with a partner/friend, but I definitely enjoyed my stay in a hostel more.

Okay accommodation in Barranco, but you can find better

Location is not bad and was picked for the reasons of safety, as Barranco was said to be the safest place in Lima. It is 5-10 minutes walk from the center of the district with cafes, restaurants, supermarket, stores and recreational area leading to the shore of the Pacific. All rooms are different. Mine happened to be the US$17 one, located on the second floor, very small, not more than 4-5 sq m, with a bed and a drawer. Small window above the bed. No hangers, not a single hook on the wall. The pilow was very old, all crumpled and bad.

It's very dirty.

Simple cost effective accomodation in a great location. Breakfast was also included in our stay.

Carlos (the owner) was fantastic, helped us with directions, recommendations and a late check in.

Very simple hostel with communal bathrooms and toilets. The rooms are very small and the facilities are rather Spartan. The Spanish-speaking staff were very friendly and helpful. You can walk to the center of Barranco in a few minutes.

Simple but cheap

The hostel is well located in Barranco, but it's average. The building seems old and unattended to. Rooms are double with shared bathroom. We stayed 3 nights, and they weren't cleaned at all.
Generally quiet location, though the windows are not very sturdy. The rooms are small, but enough for a short stay. 
The staff is friendly and helpful. Wifi works in the rooms.

Good location, average stay

We stayed 6 nights, it was economical and the manager was friendly, however the service was not the best.In 6 days we did not clean the room or the bathroom, breakfast was the same for the six days.The proximity to the sea is a plus and is very well located.

The best of Lima for a young couple who can't afford much but are looking for the basic amenities without interruption in a room of 8 people.The owner is very friendly, the perfect location, complete kitchen, cleanliness ok and excellent quality-price.

Well, pretty and cheap.

The location is perfect! Very quite street and very close by the centrum of Barranco. It's just 3-4 minutes walk. Good bed. The staff is friendly, helpful and give all the information what you want. Simple breakfast on any time you want. Bathroom and kitchen not very clean.The shared bathroom was not clean when I arrived, and the day after it was the same, they didn't clean it. On the first floor there is no bathroom, You must go down and passed the breakfast room.Not all the rooms has a fan or a big window. There is no place to sit outside. When they should clean the hostel every day and when they paint the poor looking walls again...for sure I come back here.

Perfect Location, not very clean

A simple and cozy location, located in the picturesque Barranco neighborhood next to the center.Alberto el encargado is a serviceable person and will inform you about anything you want to know about Lima and Peru.The breakfast is very complete.Choose this place for your stay, you will not regret it.
