Came here for 2 nights while going to Lake Titicaca. Overall a good, average hotel. Had a quiet nights sleep both nights and had a hot shower - which isn’t always the case in Peru. Breakfasts were ok with nice scrambled egg and bread. Rooms were comfortable, so overall ok

Average in most areas and hot showers

The hotel was cold with no heating. Ate breakfast with our coats on and there was one small heater for our room which didn’t heat it up. The water in the shower took 15minutes to get luke warm so we found it difficult to get warm. The walls are thin so take ear plugs with you! 
On the plus they make eggs for you for breakfast upon request! 

Cold and noisy 

I didn’t enjoy my stay here. The rooms were very basic and it was very cold. The beds weren’t comfortable and the pillows were like rocks. While the hotel staff said there was WiFi, it doesn’t work. Also the shower water was freezing cold, and no hot water was available. Overall, an unpleasant experience.

Poor hotel - no wifi and cold water only

Visited this hotel for two nights while on a tour
Very basic hotel. Internet extremely poor even in the lobby. Spent 45 mins trying to access but had to give up despite asking reception.
Only toiletries in room were two bits off soap no shower gel etc
Breakfast was continental and quite basic with lukewarm coffee
Not a great stay 
would rate this as a two star only
Need to up their game

This is my second time at this hotel. My colleague booked it both times and I would look for something else. My big complaint was the lack of hot (or even warm) water. When I gently complained, they look at me like I was crazy. Not even an I'm sorry. Other than that, some soap would be nice. But Peruvian hotels in the rural areas usually don't do this anyway. But for 130 Soles a night, I'd expect more. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the hotel is in a reasonably good part of town. Unfortunately, there was construction outside until 21:00. And it started again at 7:00. Noisy street but it is Puno.  Just make sure they have hot water.

Nothing special

Stayed here for couple of nights. Good location in centre of Puno. Staff friendly. Rooms okay - bit shabby but hot shower. Beds comfy. Breakfast average. WiFi okay to poor. Bit noisy due to disco/music place close by.

Okay hotel

The highlight of Hotel Italia is that it is in the city center, so it is easy to visit the area, shop or sail to Lake Titicaca.

Close to the city centre

We were with our travel group (GAdventures) in this hotel. It has a good location in Puno and offers hot water for tea all day long. The room was clean but the equipment was very outdated. During our stay it was ice cold all day and night (sometimes the room was even colder than the air outside). We were actually constantly frozen. On demand, you could get a heater that did some repairs. The breakfast was fine and sufficient for Peru's conditions. The hotel has WiFi, but only next to the router is a very good connection to telephone with home.

A simple, friendly hotel

I was in 2016 and I thought it was good, but this year it's been a lot less.The TVs are very old, the food is bad, the cold rooms with greenhouses that don't work, no hot water all the time.Wifi only works in some areas.No, I recommend it.

I've come a long way since then.

I had a lovely stay, everyone was very friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, they have heaters, hot water all day, the housing is perfect, in the center, very close to the weapons square and pine park.
