They advertise a lot of stuff but its a lie! There was no breakfast buffet, the tea water had ants, when they changed the water it still came with ants again,  and after that they brought a teapot with the same water. The boiled eggs were almost raw, the coffee was cold, the pineapple juice was warm.
The bedroom was smelly, like it wasn't open for months, it was dusty which triggered my allergies, the bedroom carpet had stains all over, the window barely closes, the bathroom door didn't close and it doesn't have ventilation which meant that after a short shower there was watter running from the walls. The bathroom had mold in the walls, which is probably the reason why there is no photos of the bathrooms on booking.com.
In the shower we found a shampoo bottle from the previous tennants, which makes wander how they cleaned it! They said they even made a special check before we arrived but it was so special that they didn't find the old shampoo bottle!!
After 4 hours there we decided we couldn't stay there for 4 nights, we clearly saw we had been deceived, we decided to cancel and they didn't accept to give us our money back. They offered another room, but we didn't trust that any other room would be clean either, and we didn't want to see ants in our breakfast food again.
We wasted our day trying to get our money back, talking to them and to booking, to no avail.

Not boutique but disgusting and the owner basically stole from us!

I was so glad having booked this hotel, charming and refined hotel. The building was 1920 old residence. It still well preserved and the inspiration is great between the lounge, the lovely garden. I really enjoy those "tasty" rooms, this hotel is really well done and running by an energetic and great staff, efficient and so helpful.
The location, a 15 min walking distance from the historical centre is great. Being away from this tourist area, a great breath and give you the chance to stroll around this residential area. I really enjoy the breakfast, everything is personalized. I ll be back for sure.

5 star Boutique hotel

We stayed here 15 years ago and enjoyed it very much for 3 weeks. It is under different management and there is some remodeling going on but it's still better than acceptable for hostels. It has a lovely little front garden that is Walled in by an 8 foot wall and so although there's a lot of traffic in the circle you have a sense of complete privacy. You have to take cabs to the downtown central area and Plaza de armas but they are not expensive. The breakfast is very basic, bread, fruit, coffee with eggs offered if you want some. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are microscopic but the front living room is very large and the staff is very pleasant.

Above average for hostels 

This place needs to work on quality of basic services. The internet is very poor. Only worked a few hours per day very slow. Breakfast service was very poor. We were a table of 4 and waitress only served for 2, ignoring our kids. Never offered additional meals even at extra charge. Brought meal items up to 30 minutes late. Never came back to the table once to ask how the meal was. Breakfast was almost horrible, at least inhospitable. Rooms were cleaned and front desk was friendly and responsive.

Mediocre

Stayed three days.  I found it a little overpriced.  Personnel was very helpful.  Rooms very basic.  Had to leave hot water open for a couple of minutes before it would start to warm.  Breakfast was good, but same stuff every day.  It advertises wi fi but it never worked for me,  Located about ten blocks from the Plaza de Armas.  You can walk or take a taxi for 5 soles (2 US$); the receptionist will call one that will arrive in 5 minutes or less.  I think you can find better lodging for the same price.

Good neighborhood but lacking in service.

Great value.  Secure, walled property with intercom gate.  comfortable rooms.  A long walk from city center.
