It is the best hotel you will be able to find with such a low cost. The breakfast is alright, already included, the staff is very helpful and I had a great stay the 2 times I stayed in it.
It has a closed parking lot, which is great for the city, I strongly recommend it if you are on a budget.

Just on budget!

The reception is the face of the hotel. This reception is totally run down. And so was my very very basic room in the lower storey. It was clean at all, but I understand now why there are no pictures of the bathroom and toilet on the booking website. After a look around I saw only one way to get happy again: Runaway. So I gave back the key and left, even I have to pay for one night. I don't understand the enthusiastic reviews!!!

Getaway after entering the room

We picked this hotel based on its location - very near the bus station. We stayed here one night - arrived late and checked out early the next morning, and for that it was fine for the price (about $50 all up). It comprises a row of rooms facing a fairly large open area, where one group was having a barbecue when we arrived. The room was painted concrete walls (i.e., devoid of ambiance), the hot water didn't work in the bathroom/shower, but my partner had a stomachache and the owner kindly responded to his request for a lime. Small room/bathroom, bed comfortable and clean enough. A convenient, secure facility if you're on the move.

Basic facilities, good location, helpful owner

Hi all, I have read lots of reviews regarding this hotel, I feel there a little unfare! We arrived at the local bus station from Brazil. One tip on that make sure you get of the bus and get your exit stamp. Simply walk over the friendship bridge completely safe! Get your entry visa then wait for the next bus to the terminal. The hotel from the terminal is 3-5 minute walk. You will find people in tents, but they don't bother you! From the hotel you can see nothing, there is a security gate so nice and safe. At night we walked and found restaurants nearby no problem! The rooms are basic but good value, breakfast was also basic but completely fine. From here we hired a taxi half day to the falls at Salto del Monday and the free tour at Itaipu dam, followed by shopping. All for 80 real!

Great little place in Paraguay!

A good hotel very near the bus station, ideal for if you're not stopping in Ciudad del Este for long.

The owners were friendly and helpful; the room was clean and well equipped (ac, fridge, tv etc); and the breakfast was good.

Ciudad del Este will never win any beauty awards, but if you're looking for somewhere decent to sleep before/after visiting the Itaipu Dam that's close to the bus station, then it's ideal.

(Buses don't run to Itaipu Dam from that bus station, but very easy to get to where they do or to get a taxi + they were more than happy for us to leave our bags with them while we did before coming back and getting the bus to Asuncion, Encarnacion, BA etc.).
