We had booked a cabin on the beach with a double bed and a bunk bed. And when we took over cabin number two, it turns out that the bunk bed is actually just a small bed in the mezzanine. So we only had 3 beds for 4. After negotiation, and for 30 dollars a night more, we went to cabin number four which is nickel 4 for the moment because it is actually made up of 2 huts so we gained space. The view is on the sea. There is a surf school, a bar and a glacier at the foot of the huts. We didn't test out the restaurant of the hotel which is located right next to the road, the price is 30 dollars a night.

Cottage on the beach

I can only write for my house that about 100 over NN is in the forest with sea view.It is over another house free above the plant.The house itself does not meet the normal standard but is complete.So the mattresses are out, the door locks badly and insecure, through the cracks sprays rain when the cloud breaks, there is no furniture and a separate table in front of the house (from the neighbors seized because only one) and the W-Lan does not go although the transmitter is mounted in front of the tree.Night in the bathroom big frogs but that is.Yes this is also accommodated but big and ok.

I stayed with my husband in La Casita, and the truth is cozy and I love that it is isolated from the noise and is on a hilltop. In the mornings you can hear the monkeys howling.

The place is magnificent. It has excellent vibes. Many activities for all kinds of people whether it's something relaxing or a more dynamic activity. The staff makes you feel at home. The food is delicious, in all the restaurants and bars. Vegan and vegetarian options.

 Visitation yes!

Our stay at EcoVenao was all we could ask for and more. The staff was so pleasant and welcoming. The amount of activities available provide a perfect mix of beach and mountain, best of both worlds. The room we stayed in, Beachfront Cabana, was beautiful, very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. I highly recommend doing the hike to the waterfall and the mirador. Overall our stay was excellent and we look forward to going back soon!

The place to stay in Playa Venao! We had a fantastic time in Eco Venao! 

The staff is Amazing, the location is beautiful, great food, drinks and service! There are many activities available on site (Hiking, Horseback riding, Surfing, and more.) so there is no need to leave the hotel.

A magical place to visit & to relax! We stayed at the Beach Cabañas and absolutely loved waking up to the sound of waves. 

We are definitely coming back for more! The entire experience at Eco Venao was incredible.

THE place to stay Playa Venao!

Whats better than a surf beach with great people? A venue that respects nature and co-exists with it's surroundings. This is the only venue the monkeys hang out at and the only place the manglers still have a place. And soon enough will be the site of a turtle nursery run by Tortugas de Playa Venao. They have a waterfall too! A sustainable farm! And the best home roasted Panama coffee around with scrumptious deserts. What more can you ask for?

Whats better than a surf beach with great people?

Not just accommodation, here's a project for reforestation, surf school surf dojo with a nice bar, beach day, delicious food in Panga restaurant farm-to-table... we were 4 nights in Beach Cabanas, highly recommended.

Great flair, very nice cabanas, mega restaurant

We found this place thanks to our Panama guide who took note of it. I now understand why... without a network in Panama, we arrived unfortunately after the reception was closed. The staff of one of the restaurants on site then booked us a king's welcome and did everything they could to find us the booking and someone to accompany us. First surprise, we were lucky enough to be overcrowded in a beach hut for my birthday. This beautiful hut overlooking the ocean and the Barca, a beach hut that bears its name.

This review is for the hotel + activities on site. Hotel is a 3.5 star but the people, view and activities make it a 4 star. A wonderful location but a 5 hour drive (becomes 7 if police stops you for speeding or if you take breaks). We rented two cabanas by the beach which are small cottage huts on stilts with the view of the ocean and a loft. Each of them can sleep 4 people (2 in the loft where the A/C vent will be situated so it can get cold and you need extra blankets) and 2 on the bottom with huge glass windows that open into the ocean. The climb to the loft is steep and better for teens, tweens or young adults. They have a outdoor shower, indoor shower and a flushable toilet. In Panama, the toilet paper goes into the thrash generally. So don't flush any paper in the toilet in the cabanas. This has about 10 steps to walk to the door so if you have senior citizens, they are better off in the casana houses on top of the mountain which have very comfortable rooms and toilets. 

The casana (pictures included) is huge on the mountain with a view of the ocean and has 3 bedrooms, kitchen and a living room. One room has a double bed, the other king bed and a walkthrough to another room that has 2 single twin beds connected to the king bed room. The bathrooms have doors that are see through and the room can be locked.  They have cleaning service everyday and a kitchen that has utensils, plates etc. 

Michael was the parmaculture lead who conducted soap making lessons which was amazing. He also did a walkthrough of his honey bees and my mom enjoyed this class a lot. They also have horse riding in addition to access to surf dojo for surfing lessons. There is also a beautiful hike to a waterfall onsite of this property cascada trail. The office is open until 8 pm daily and panga restaurant is open for dinner onsite.
