This hotel was cheap and not very clean and no breakfast included. The room was full of little «tablets» which we think was there to remove bugs. The smell from the tablets was awful and even made our clothes smell. We tried booking another night at the reception, but they told us it was more expensice since it was sunday, which makes no sense. On booking.com it was still the same price for our roomcategory. We booked online and went down to pay. They started arguing about the room and told us we had booked a smaller room, eventhough the bookings were identical. The guy, which we think was the owner started screaming and being very rude when we showed him the bookings. We ended up not staying there another night and would never go back. Stay clear of this hotel, nothing was worth the price. 


Worst service ever! 

Very good value for money. Comfy room with private bathroom with hot water and little balcony. The staff was nice and friendly. It is well located as well.

 The bed sheets were pretty old. Apart from that everything was good.



Good value for money

The best deal for downtown Panama City, do not expect any luxury, for what you pay, but you will get a clean room, a very good service from the owner and his son and free unlimited coffee in the morning. Upon our arrival, the owner offered us a card to use for the bus, it is very convenient as the bus stop is in front of the Hotel. The area around is safe to walk around and there are nice cheap eateries and shops. As we had to get a late Tica Bus, they offered us complimentary use of the room until 22:00, that was a very kind gesture and we appreciated so much.

The Best Value in Panama City

Seems like the hotel is new, not many taxi drivers know where it is and the rooms looks freshly painted. Nice big king sized beds and good showers with hot water and water pressure. The rooms do get a little stuffy as there is very little airflow (windows into the hallway or no windows at all) and they are quite small for two people. We also arrived at 5 in the morning after an overnight bus and had to pay for a full night if we wanted to get in the room, no compromise offered or anything which was a little annoying but considering how exhausted we were we did it anyways. That being said it is one of the cheaper options in Panama City so you get what you pay for. 

Good for the price

Hotel Valencia is a bit on the old side but it's a great budget choice. It is very clean, very friendly staff, hot shower, great wifi, airco and television. The neighbourhood isn't special but of you're looking for a good place to spend a night, this is the way to go.
