Like: the air conditionaire Dislike: should clean better

Super cheap stay when you just need a bed for the night.  Parking is secure, but very limited and tight quarters.

Bare bones, but adequate

Old, dirty hotel in a bad part of town. Lasted only one of two nights i booked and then got cheated out of a bit more cash at check out.  My fault for booking cheap to start with, but have walked past several hotels here since advertizing the same price.

Not worth a visit.

I was quite satisfied, especially for the price I paid.

My MAIN problem was there is no fridge in the rooms, just hand held igloos. No smart televisions

The hotel is basic but livable -  don't expect the Ritz. It is a dated homey type of hotel in need of a make over, but nevertheless  ideal for the budget minded who either know Panama and/or speak some Spanish. The surrounding area is somewhat "50/50" (there are quite a few homeless here, sadly). Avoid walking alone at night and only withdraw money from the ATM at the nearby Lottery Office during the day (straight up the road to the next block, you cannot miss it). Use Uber or taxis which are plentiful although there is a Metro very close by (don't forget your face shield and surgical mask). You will need a smattering of Spanish skills here at the very least, or a good translator. The price is right here and the staff are pleasant and so it gets a "Very Good" rating from me, but it won't be suitable for everyone. Don't miss breakfast at the  Del Fogon Latino cafe across the road or the great seafood restaurant around the corner (Benidorm Restaurante).

I've stayed at the Hotel Lisboa for half a dozen times in the last few years and it's always been an outstanding visit. The hotel is located on Avenida Cuba at the corner of Calle 31 Este in the Bellavista District of old Panama City The hotel was completely renovated in 2011 and has a total of 55 rooms.

The hotel is especially convenient to the new subway system and a short block away from the Loteria subway station. 

The rooms are clean and comfortable and have cable TV and free WiFi. There is a cafe-bar onsite but several nice restaurants are within one or two blocks.

Great place to stay. Convenient and affordable.

This hotel had prostitutes outside and they regularly were seen in the hotel as well. Local people were staying there and paying a totally different rate for the same rooms style as we stayed in. 
The hotel staff charged us the wrong amount  and  we ended up feeling totally ripped off when they also messed up our booking. 

The bedding was old curtains. The air con was switched off through a master switch downstairs. The insects in the rooms were enormous. No laundry facilities, the bathroom fixtures and fittings were leaking and in bad condition. We had a flood in our bathroom from a leaking toilet. Window locks didn't work so we couldn't secure our things in room. 

Wifi was non existent unless you stand in the hallway. We asked several times but the girl just shrugged and said she didn't know. 

Area was very poor with extremely high incidents of crime and local traffic noise into the night.

Terrible experience

Stayed here one night, before getting picked up for our flight the next morning... This, for my husband and I, was ideal, since we didn't want to spend a lot of money. $33 a night, and we had clean sheets, hot water (had to wait a bit for it to reach the 5th floor!), a/c, TV, and THREE locks on the door. We felt pretty safe! 
As mentioned before, the service is less than stellar, but those of us who don't live full-time in Latin America are always expecting excellent customer service. Honestly, I don't mind it much: all I care about is a clean place to sleep. Don't forget to bring your tv remote with you when you check out. That front desk girl sure didn't want to go get it... :P
