The best hotel without a doubt of all the Travelplan circuit we have done in Norway, at the foot of the ski resort with authentically spectacular scenery.

It is excellent.

The cottages situated high on the fjords give a spectacular view of the village. The cleanliness was at its best. Rooms were spacious with perfect sound insulation. We had arrived a lot later than the usual checkin time and having explained the circumstances, the staff were indeed welcoming and kindly accommodated our requests. For ski enthusiasts, this is the place to stay in Mark dalen region. 

Welcoming staff and beautiful location

The hotel closes in the afternoon at an early hour, don't worry, they also leave you at the front door an envelope with your keys, directions, tickets with the keys to the doors, arrows to indicate the way to your coffee room and internet access codes, all very well planned.The rooms are spacious, at least as far as I'm concerned.A studio with kitchen, oven, refrigerator, several cupboards, a wedding bed, cupboards, Nordic, pillows, a central desk, a full bathroom, wedding receptions; in these quiet rooms, we have a free bathroom, wedding receptions; in these quiet rooms, we have a free bathroom, and we have a free lunch, and we have a free lunch, and we have a free lunch in the front of the house, and in the back of the house, we have a free lunch, a free lunch, a free lunch, a free lunch, and a free lunch.

I like it a lot.

3 kids and happy parents enjoyed the 3-bedroom cabin with the view to the slope on the mountain. The scandinavian hy-tec in the cottage is reduce to the smart, no fancy but with the sence. warm, lightfull, practical. small disapointments - water on the floor outside showercabin (promised to be repaired, hope is done), dblbed together with the gap btween, growing in the night :). very practical cold storage room for ski, wood and everything. nice white technic from zanussi.

I stayed in this apartment for the New year holidays and it was a great time! There is always lot of snow here (not like in Voss - a town in about 35 kilometers from Myrkdalen) - the place is just perfect for skiing. The hotel is situated right near the mountain-lifts. The slopes are different and interesting.

It's a very quiet place - there are only private houses around but not any shop, club etc. The apartments are very cozy. There is a kitchen with all utensils in each apartment, so, it's easy to cook something (you need to buy food first, the nearest store is in about 9 km from here). But there are also a cafe and a restaurant where you can eat. We had WiFi in our apartment but there are also computers on the Reception (free).

The staff is very friendly and helpful! We had some not usual requests and they managed to help us.

It's definitely not for those people who like to hang out, but those who like to ski and prefer quiet and cozy places will like Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen a lot!

Excellent resort for skiing

We stayed in this apartment for four nights with our two daughters (12 years of age) in July 2011 while enjoying our vacation in Norway.  This complex is situated approximately 35 kilometers north of Voss and 9 kilometers from the town of Vinje, where the closest supermarket can be found.  At the reception, there is a free WIFI connection of good quality available. In winter this ski-resort is probably a lively place to be, but in summer, it is rather quit.  Nevertheless, this region of Norway is worth paying a visit. 
The apartments are privately owned, so a general judgment is difficult to make. We were very lucky with our apartments, which was very luxurious, comfortable and clean. 
The price of these apartments was rather low compared to the excellent quality.  If you are planning to stay in this region for a couple of days, this place might be what you are looking for. It’s good value for money. However, you have to take into account that these apartments are situated in a remote area.

NIce apartments

We rented a pricey but lovely brand new cabin here and had a nice weekend of skiing. Little did we know that the sauna was not kept in a safe condition with a little metal piece being hidden on top of it when heating up. This made some burn marks on the wall of the sauna but naive as we were we told the owner, explained the safety issue and recommended they just use some sandpaper to remove these marks. Little did we realise that the owner wanted to improve his sauna on his account when we later got a bill of 10,000 NOK extra for "causing the damage to the cabin". Both the resort and the owner have handled this in a completely unaccaptable and rude manner and we are powerless as we can neither afford to make a court case out of this

Avoid cabins at this ski resort at any cost unless you want an expensive surprise
