We arrived late in the evening, but Thomas and Nina was very helpful and we got a small cabin. The cabin was clean and we had  showers, toilet and a small kitchen in a building nearby. Everything was clean and working well. We will definately reccomend this place for others. Andreas & Maria.

We were travelling from Åndalsnes to Geiranger, and stopped by several campsites along the way. Travelling in July has it's downsides because most of the campsites were full. We called Solvang a couple of hours before we arrived and since all the cabins were full, we got offered a tent with two beds in. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the campsite was tidy and clean with a wonderful view of the mountains surrounding it. Shower and toilet facilities were also great, as they were new and clean.

This is a great campsite surrended by mountains in a picturesque area and a really good alternative to the overcrowded and narrow sites in Geiranger.
Plenty of space for caravans and tents, nice playground for children, BBQ area and excellent mountain view.
The facilities are quite new and clean at all times.
Very kind owners, who run a little coffee shop on site and who very helpful with great suggestions for hikes and walks in the mountain area.
We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay here.

Solvang Camping actually closes for the season at the end of August but staff were working on the site and were able to rent us a cabin for a very reasonable 300 kroner, our arrival at 19:30 being late for camping in the fading light. Kitchen and washing facilities were excellent.

No problems. For the cheaper "hytte", bed sheets are not included - and the prices appear not to be published on their web page or booking pages. So if you need it, you should call them before booking.

Newly refurbished common showers/toilets. The smaller hytte has electricity, but the electric heating is not enough to feel warm - so bring warm clothing :)

Great stay!

Peaceful campsite

We stayed one night only, because out car was booked for repair at the mechanic 2.5km away. We have 2 small children, 1- and 4- year old. Bathrooms are absolutely not appropriate for bathing small children. Policy of charging showers - well i am speachless, 
10 nkr for 5 Mins of warm water in a cold day 
.. with small children.. no go! Not enough hooks to hang things in the bathrooms. No changing table for babies. There are only 3 female and 3 male showers for the whole campground, as well as toilets. No family bathrooms, as in most other scandinavian camps. At 11h the bathrooms close for desinfection. I was sent out to public toilet in the road some 100m away with 2 kids :(. They should make an "emergency toilet" for the cleaning hours! Kitchen is tiny and the door doesn't close properly. It was very cold inside, so we fed the kids in winter jackets. No baby chair.
At first we wanted to rent the cabin. After paying 400nkr, we figured that there were no sheets and blankets and pillows, the sheets were for rent for extra 300nkr. (pillows and blankets are for FREE).. So we changed our mind and slept in our rooftent in the car (200nkr), which had to go to the mechanic in the morning. Anyway, i hoped the children and I will be able to play in their nice playground until 15h, when the car will be repaired, but we were told to go out or check in again for the next night, because it is highest season, but the camping was practically empty, no other children that woult momentaly using the playground. I wouldn't come here again. If i had to camp near the mechanic again, i would choose the woods or lake nearby.. the only other shower I paid extra for in my life, was in the middle of Sahara, where the owner himself carried the water to the tank in the roof..  cmon, thats ridicolous comparison. I warmly recommend you to relax the rules and become more user friendly. The campground is otherwise clean and pretty.
