Rented a three-bed room for myself and my two children. Got one in a student home which they rent out during the school holidays. 540 NOK per night including cleaning, excluding breakfast (you can buy breakfast tickets for the nearby hotel). This is very reasonable for Norway. It was clean and actually had three beds, which is about everything you can expect for around 500 NOK in Norway. Nice caretakers. You can buy some snacks in the reception and they have barbeques outside that the guests can use. I give the place a very good rating, not because it is a fantastic spot, but because it's cheap and delivers what it promises.
