In the centre of the town, small car park, nice rooms, shared toilets and showers, good drying room, decent ,basic breakfast. Small kitchen, large lounge,WiFi. Plenty of supermarkets in Rjukan. Will stay again

Clean b&b

clean, newly renovated attractive room overlooking river with own clean bathroom. basic breakfast downstairs with fresh baked bread, included in room price.very helpful friendly staff.  budget price,  good value. in centre of town, great location, easy to find.

comfortable guesthouse on the river

Stayed there one night in july 2018. It is a good low budget bed & breakfast. It is located in the center of Rjukan with short distance to a grocery store. It offers clean and low-priced rooms with a shared toilets. The premises were all very clean and the staff were helpful.

Clean and cheap

We have stayed at Rjukan Gjestegaard several times. Had different type of rooms. Always nice staff here, quiet,  clean rooms with towels and soap, free coffee and tea in the lobby. Very good breakfast.

Stayed for two nights in their cheapest double room with shared bath and toilet (610 NOK)
The room and all the facilities were remarkably clean. 
The beds were fine and the staff very friendly. 
Enjoyed a great breakfast with freshly baked bread. 
In the basement there is a room for drying wet clothes. 
The hostel is placed near the center of Rjukan next to the small river. 
I takes 2 minutes to walk to the nearby supermarket. 
Only complaint is that we could hear the guy next door snore heavily at night. 
Definitely recommends this hostel.

Nice, clean and cheap

It was a last minute booking and was totally worth it. Its not expensive at all and room where I stayed was pretty good. I had booked for two person room (I was travelling alone) and as they shifted me to one man room as they were having empty single man room. They did this on their own. Will be staying there again next year.

Worth the price

In centre of town, in winter it is full of ice climbers and skiers. Has recently had a refurbishment, all showers, toilets and rooms nice and clean. Good value and plenty to eat at breakfast. Free WiFi near the office. Some bunks, some doubles and some the odd single.

Good Hostel

The establishment is located in the center of this very quiet little town. It is more of a youth hostel than a hotel: the reception is not open in the evening or early in the day and there is no restaurant. My room was one of the three VIP rooms, that is, equipped with a shower and toilets! For the others, you have to go to the staircase... The room was very clean and the bed was of quality (2 beds 1 place accommodated). The bathroom had just been refurbished. Here are the good points. For the rest, we are very careful: the household and the bed are not in the mini-day, a single network of smoke reception will have to wash you during the whole day and the WIFI network does not give the smell of the breakfast code.

Not too bad.

It looked like a horrible hostel for homeless people, nothing to touch, the bedding was dirty, and we refused to stay in the guest house and we were moved to the main hotel across the street, which was also a little bit better.
