Svolvaer

A great experience!  A wooden lodge away from the town of Svolvaer, gave us the view of the water and the hills/ mountains.  Great trails for walkers and more serious expeditions.  Good for water activities too.  Great base to visit the Lofoten Islands.  Brilliant thank you and one day we will return. Thank you John and Judith

I think old cabin that was slightly renovated. Kitchenette was ok. There were wc and shower. There were single beds upstairs, space was too little because of the roof. Downstairs was two little rooms with single beds but i think they were little scary. We went so late that we just ate and sleep there. But in the morning the view was awesome. Do not know what else there was outside. We choose this because hotel room was so expensive.

lovely cabins. really cosy. and the kitchen is ok and the view and location is great. Checking in was easy they just left the keys in a mailbox

We had a fairly last minute booking of a cabin during the summer holidays. We were probably quite lucky to get in at that time as it was quite busy, like everywhere in Lofoten. It’s a nice location and it was all very straightforward. Nice and clean and not a bad place to stay.

Better than average

The cabins that we rented were amazing. Great place to relax after full day hiking. 20 min walk to the city center supermarket. Staff helpful. Location is also nice if you are up to into hiking. Would recommend.

We liked it.

Nice, quiet camping place with nice view and beach. Clean service building with toilets, showers and kitchen. If I visit Lofoten again, I will accommodate here. Friendly staff. I can recommend this place.

Nice place

Wonderful location, the camping offers big spacious cabins with a beautiful view of the lake that's in front of the camping, the place is really quiet, at the end of a road in a residential area just at the side of Svolvaer, it is at walking distance from the town centre en its main attractions and supermarkets.
You happen to need to be patient as the owner is alone (at least in the days of my visit) and he is often absent, so you may need to call him and wait for check-in/checck-out.
The cabins are really comfortable with all you need inside

Wonderful location

My wife and I rented an A-frame cabin for three nights in July.  We did not have towels and sheets so we rented them for 50nok per person, per night.  The A-frame had 3 small beds on the second floor accessed by a ladder.  There was also a couch on the main floor that could have slept another person.  Kitchen was furnished but no toaster.  The shower had good pressure, but kind of shared the space in the bathroom with the sink and toilet.  You had to squeegee the floor to get all the water to run out.  The bathroom needed a shelf to put your toiletries on.  The view out the large windows was very nice.  The A-frame had a nice deck you could sit outside and enjoy the scenery when the weather allowed.  This is a place where at a minimum you needed a car to stay.

Pros: 
- The view is amazing, you can see mountains, rivers, lakes and the sunset. 
- The kitchen is fully equipped, so you don't have to bring a lot yourself. 
- The area for tents is even and well trimmed, and there are tables for breakfast/dinner.
- Close to the city, able to walk there by foot (but a bit uphill).  

Cons: 
- The price is very high, for one night we paid 300 NOK for two persons + tent. 
- There are only two toilets and two showers for the entire camping site for women. That leads to a lot of queuing. 
- The showers are free - BUT you have to press a button every 20 sec for water, so its not relaxing or a nice experience. 
- Very rude service when we arrived. 

If the price is not an issue for you, I would recommend. Otherwise I would try to wildcamp in the area.

Expensive, but beautiful view

2 nights in a bungalow in the woods. Beautiful experience. The location is simply stunning and the bungalow confortable and clean. The only 'problem' is the stairs to the upper level... really too steep!
