We chose Stavanger as our final stop on a 10-day trip to Norway specifically to do the Pulpit Rock hike. The Sola Strand hotel was the perfect lodging for our 2 nights. We were under an hour from the hike parking lot (get there as early as you can, we started the hike at 8:30 and it was a perfect time). The Sola beach is lovely to stroll and the hotel was cute, with a historic feel but modern, renovated rooms. An easy 15-20 mins into Stavanger by car/taxi. Highly recommend!
