We stayed a few nights at this hotel during a port to port part of the Hurtigruten ferry journey from Tromso. From the first moment we walked into the hotel, we were welcomed and treated very well. Staff are friendly and happy and very helpful. The hotel is spacious and comfortable. At the entrance you can remove your boot spikes, there's a small space with a coffee machine and snacks. A fast lift to the rooms. Our room has a sauna! Never had that before. And it was unique and useful to us. Our room had a view of the harbour and we could see the ships coming into the harbour. From our window, we could see the Northern lights! And we saw snow falling (in our country, we don't have snow!) At the hotel you are able to use the sleds. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the Hurtigruten ship but if you allow time, it's easy going. Probably a 10 minute walk. But you get to walk along the harbour and see beautiful stunning views. There's plenty of shops in Honningsvag. And a large shopping centre further along in town. And a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Check in and check out was a breeze. The room was well appointed. A lovely bed with quality sheets and pillows. The shower had great hot water and plenty. There is a kettle with tea and coffee. There's a wardrobe and a seat for putting on boots. Oh, and the breakfast!! WOW! amazing quality and variety. We can definitely recommend Scandic. This hotel has thought of everything.
