Walaker Hotel

Walaker Hotell is truly a special place. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect launching point for various activities in the Lustrafjord area. Additionally, Solvorn is incredibly idyllic and looks like a painting except it’s real life. We stayed in room 20, which had an amazing view of the fjord. We opted to book the 4 course dinner each night and it was worth every single penny. The food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. And most of all everything we ate tasted incredible. I also appreciated how you could choose certain wines off the wine pairing menu, rather than having to get some wines that aren’t as preferable. The breakfast selection was wonderful as well. There was the option of ordering some hot dishes in addition to the buffet. My husband and I stay at many luxury properties and the service from everyone at the front desk to the restaurant staff were 5 star worthy. Everyone we encountered were incredibly kind and helpful. My advice is to skip the touristy fjord towns and stay at the Walaker Hotell for an authentic and unique Norwegian experience.
