Vassbakken Kro og Camping

Stayed here for three nights and loved every minute of it. Booked directly from the hotels website. This place is in the middle of some of the most beautiful nature Norway has to offer. A couple of kms one way, and you are by the Sognefjord. The same distance the other way and you are half way up to the Sognefjell plateau. The bus from Sogndal to Lom stops right outside, so you don't need a car to go there. Vassbakken is situated in a serene spot surrounded by mountains. Plenty of trekking options right outside the door. From the porch outside the cabin, I could see four waterfalls. The nearest is 200 ms away. The cabin, we had one of the bigger ones, had everything we needed. It could easily sleep five people. Fully stocked kitchen if you want to eat in. The restaurant offers good traditional norwegian food for dinner. We ate dinner there every night. There is a couple of kms to the nearest grocery store, so you might want to stock up before you arrive. The staff was wonderful and gave us some valuable information. This place comes highly recommended if you are into trekking, but also if you just want to relax with clean air and spectacular views.
