I had the pleasure of staying at Hardangerfjord Hotel for one night in August 2025, arranging a leadership gathering for my team. This hotel exceeded my expectations in almost every way – from the location to the service – and I would happily return, both for business and leisure. The setting is stunning, right by the Hardangerfjord with view towards Folgefonna glacier. There’s free parking right outside, including charging stations for EVs. I stayed in a superior room (no. 276). It was spacious, with a big bathroom that had heated floors. My room didn’t have a balcony, but many of the other rooms did, and with that view I would recommend booking one if possible. From check-in to check-out, staff were friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Ingvild Rykkje, who made sure everything related to our meeting went perfectly smooth. It really makes a difference when someone goes the extra mile like that. Both lunch and dinner were of high quality, with local ingredients that gave the meals that extra touch. Considering the quality of the stay, food, facilities and the unique location, I found the price very fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to arrange another work event here.
