Location, events and food.  Nice surroundings and rooms

Storaas hotel is a 'historical' hotel surrounded by snow laden landscape. The family run hotel is a perfect place to spend some quality times with friends , family or co-workers. The rooms are stylishly done with a touch of art. The beds were very comfortable and the wooden cabin a delight to be in. 

We stayed as a large group in this hotel during our Business Offsite , and were very happy with the arrangements, food and the hospitality. 
 
The kitchen and serving staff is excellent and makes sure  your needs are taken care of.

We held our wedding celebration party at Storaas in August. Great location and function room, excellent food and even sunshine arranged. Great accommodation both in the main hotel and cabins, with an excellent breakfast to follow.
Else, one is the ‘sisters’ as Storaas and her team, excelled in helping to make this a great party to share and remember with our friends and family. Lots of positive feedback from our guests too.

Stayed there as part of a hike trip in Norway. The hotel was the base for me on my daily hikes. The hotel is a family run business where the owners Yalleh and Dea and their daughters bond warmly and closely with the guests. For a country side hotel, this one comes second to none. The rooms are comfortable, hot water round the clock, the breakfast served is great, net is good though weak in some rooms, the decor is very authentic and the hotel comes with a family story that the owners warmly share. Regarding the evening meals, we were served top quality food. It was far better than many top restaurants around the world. The hotel has a banquet hall and they host weddings. Also, it is  situated at the tip of a lake where some may want to swim and also they serve the own home made apple juice which is great. I recommend for a short retreat.

Everything was good. Just the confort level is not according the price.

I had a day trip for yje Jazz festival. 
The hotel is located in forest and about 20min drive from city center and they arrange taxi/drive back and forth.
The room and breakfast are good and staff are also very kind.
The hotel is from a family farm and you can find a lot of old pictures and hostorical atmosphere.

The hotel is far from the senter. The room has no tv, no tea/coffee, no soap in the dispenser, there's still garbage in the toilet. Breakfast is included but we've been ask if we want to eat breakfast the day we will be checking in but the check in time is 3-6 p.m. This hotel is for the nature lover.

There aren't many hotels in Norway with a stuffed alligator in the reception! Lots of charm in the buildings. Pleasant owners with several generations of stories to share. While lunch and breakfast were quite good, the cook must have had an off day when it came to  dinner. There was more than enough food, but the meat was supposedly a calf and tasted more like its grandmother 😶.
