Stayed 1 night and the cabins were absolutely lovely. Cosy, well appointed and when the sun is out, views cannot be beat of the Fjord. Truly an experience that completed our Norwegian holiday. Would recommend arriving before dusk though 😊

We stayed here for one night on our way from Bergen to Valldal and I wish we'd stayed longer! We were in cabin 1 and the panoramic view was breathtaking. The cabin was spotlessly clean, charming, and had a great kitchen. I seriously could have spent a week there and not wanted to leave. Highly recommended.

We traveled a llot in our first week in Norway so wanted a quiet place to relax for the second week, this place was perfect. Beautiful log cabin right in the forest but with wonderful views of the lake, wild blueberries to pick outside your front door! The cabin itself is lovely with logburner and verander when the sun is shining is idyllic. Often wandered down to the lake past the local sheep, cows, horses, where fin and family the owners were happy to lend us their row boat and gear (really friendly people). Hidden gem for me was the waterfall 10 min walk away. If instead of heading down the gravel path you go up it and turn left at the fork in the road, you will see a waterfall on your left. It's amazing, has its own little pool to swim in, just perfect. We had it to ourselves, Finn will tell you where if you can't find. All in all its highly recommended, but book in advance as there are only 5 cabins and it seemed on the Internet to be pretty booked up when we were trying.

When driving from Skei, just follow the signs to Jølsterlia Hyttetun. Even in case use GPS, watch the signs. I'm talking about it, since we got wrong turn when following GPS directions.
OK, now about the accomodation. First of all we arrived to reception that is located about 1 km prior to accomodation. We were met by lady who waited for us. The process of check-in was quick but for some reason none of my credit cards were accpeted by terminal on reception. So we deciced to go Skei city the next day and get cash from ATM (minibank). After that the lady asked us to follow her car and showed us our accomodation.
The accomodation were perfect! To be honest, that was one of the best accomodations during our trip to Norway. We stayed just for two nights, but we definitely would stay more nights, if possible. The accoomdation is located uphill so you get nice view from terrace. It's very well furnished (it even has fireplace!)
I would definitely recommend this place to stay!
As I mentioned the only disappointed thing was that my credit card was not accepted by terminal so I have to drive to Skei the next day and get monet from ATM (minibank) and it cost additionally about 3% :(

Spectacular cabins with fantastic views to the mountain and lake. Have been twice already and would go there again. Dishwasher, bathroom floor heating included. Impressive hike after a short trip by car would be recommended. See 'Flatbrehytta' in ut.no
