What a cute place! My husband and I were passing through and came across the cottages. We have been traveling/camping around Norway on our Honeymoon so a comfortable place to rest for the night was just what we needed. The couple who owns the cottages are very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place - clean, comfortable, good price, and kind/friendly hosts. Thank you! 

Basic set of rooms but spacious & comfortable in every way. Friendly & accommodating couple. Good place for a short stay. Ample parking space & wifi available in the rooms. Since they accept pAyment by cash, make sure you bring some :) 

The location seems not same as google map. We drove around and could not find it. Finally the old kind lady came to pick up us. The owner just live next house. It is very clean and wifi is also ok. The bedroom is warm, comfortable and big. They change KR50/ each for linen and only accept cash payment which is not shown on booking.com. Because Knausen Cottages is not in town center, you better buy food in advance.

It locate in quiet area but warm small place

Nice stay near Hellesylt 

Hello,

We spent one night in the Knaussen cottage. The owners were nice. The place was fairly ok. Very cozy for one night.
Toilet, shower and kitchen are shared with others. 
We didn't have towels and they were not available :( so not very convenient. 
Just a little bit expensive for the standard.  We paid 600nok per night for 2.

On the way to troll path

We stayed in one of the cottages. They were quite easy to find. When we arrived in our cottage it smelled musty, especially the bathroom. The whole cottage was dusty. The kitchen is very small, cooking a meal for four adults is a challange. There is enough glasses, plates, etcetera for four people, but it wasn't clean. The bathroom is big enough to place a shower cabin, however there is none, so the whole bathroom floor gets soaked when you take a shower, which gets pretty annoying since it doesn't dry up because of the bad ventilation. The owner told us we could use their wifi if we parked our car in front of their house, but a wifi connection in the cottage would have been way better. The view from the cottage is amazing, though.
