This place is one of a kind! Truly relaxing, the whole place has a calm easy vibration, for relaxation, or work.
The staff is beyond great, and they have awesome trip leaders who show you around finnskogen, as well as get you moving, swimming,  and other beautiful experiences when you sign up for it! Great programs, rooms, food and solutions!

What a Dream!

I am chonically ill, and looked forward to four days of quiet rest, heated pool, spa treatments and great food. The place is very nice, but a combination of small things kept pulling the experience down.

Positive:
Upgraded and wellkept place, far out in the wilderness away from civilization. Quiet, apart from whatever nature serves you.
Nice salon and a quiet room to relax in. Views from most of the common areas.
Nice pool area with two different saunas (and a jacuzzi that was being refurbished). Also a training room/gym with equipment.
Good and healthy food, and plenty of it.
Serviceminded staff that do their best to answer you questions and solve your problems.
Covid restrictions well sorted, hotel can't be blamed for guests not caring...

Negative:
I called beforehand to ask if there were any rooms more convenient than others due to mobility issues, but was informed it was no big deal walking between any of the rooms to pool, restaurant etc. That is not the case. Upon arrival I was appointed a room on second floor (stairs are a problem) and far away from the center. It felt like miles to walk. I got to change a room to the first floor on the second day, but had to wait between moving out of the first and into the second room and the day felt quite messed up.

They advertise organic body products in the room (website text is changed now, so maybe more people reacted?). There is one bottle of combined hair and body gel. No conditioner (I accidentally forgot mine at home, and my hair was full of body scrup after the spa treatment), no cotton pads, shower cap or any of the "usual stuff". You can buy it in the quite expensive shop, of course.

Food. Shame on me, I didn't read the meal info properly. And the food was nice, but a bit strange. At lunch you are served the heavier hot meal of the day. You need to get any drinks (ex wwater) from the reception though. Only for dinner are you offered drinks at the table, and "dinner" in weekdays is a saladbar (incl cheece and crackers though) and soup. Also, if your stomach is not used to that kind of food, you may get a reaction. Just mentioning.

There is no youghurt or milk for breakfast (or any other meal). Some lactose free milk is available and some greek yoghurt (also lactose free). So if you enjoy a glass of milk with your breakfast or evening meal, prepare to do without.

Spa. I love a good spa treatment, unfortunately I was disappointed here. First, it was hard to get an appointment at all, even several weeks beforehand. Trying to book a treatment after arrival was almost impossible (I tried before my one scheduled appointment, and was just as glad I didn't get it, afterwards). The therapist cut my treatment by a few minutes in both ends. The treatment itself was also a bit lacking. Full body scrub meant legs, arms and back (and hair! as it was not protected), no pillow for the head when lying on the back. There was nice music, but touches like an eye pillow and protecting the hair with a cloth or something would have gone a long way.

For what I wanted, I will probably go somewhere else next time.

Ok, but room for improvement on various small things

We were fortunate to get one of the larger suites, and it was amazing. The hotel is nice, the treatments good, and the atmosphere most of all relaxing. It is the perfect place for yoga, a morning swim, and a trail hike. Excellent and nurishing food as well. A perfect getaway for couples, friends or solo all alike!

True wellbeing

This is a beautiful peaceful spa hotell in the middle of Finnskogen in Norway
The personal  are exceptionally friendly , nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, warm and nicely equipped with robes, nice bathroom, TV, 
The swimming pool is lovely where there is water aerobics every morning.
The different classes are very professional.
The food is very nice too.

the best getaway to recharge your batteries

Nice and friendly hotel with a great view situated on a top in the "Finnskogen" woods. Excellent organic and healthy food, with lunch as the main meal. I had a fantastic head and shoulder massage called anti-stress-massage. I also joined a self developement course that was great. The instructor was experienced and professional. The introduction to how to use chi-ball was a good experience. I will be back!

Peaceful relaxation

This is a fantastic place to recharge thd batteries. The hotel has a very friendly atmosfare. Good rooms with comfortable beds.
Here you can join in and do group activities or just do whatever pleases you. 
At mealtime you enjoy high quality vegetarian food.

The silence of the woods

Great hotel with a fabulous view. The whole idea is based on wellbeing, organic and healthy food, spa and treatments. The rooms are surprisingly nice and all featuring private facilities. The hotel serves wine and has combined bar. The spa department offers many different treatments and has a ham man, sauna and swimming pool with nice warm water. There is a gym with spinning cycles and other training equipment.
In the neighborhood you will find excellent ski slopes. And from what I understand there are fishing possibilities, cycling - and hiking tracks in the summer.

The food is good and simple. Not complicated food and the ingredients are all natural.
Hot and cold dishes more than you can eat.

Great place, medicine for the soul and body.

Wellness in the wilderness

This is a small hotel on the border of Sweden and Norway, just one hour outside of Oslo. It's a SPA-hotel with treatments, acsess to nature, a lake, forrest and serving local, high quality and healthy food.
