Finnskogtoppen Velværehotell

This stay was a magical pre Christmas gift to ourselves, what a wonderful experience for body and soul! Set in a serene wooded area overlooking the lake, the view itself was spectacular. We stayed two night and enjoyed it to the fullest. The staff was so kind and pleasant, everyone from the receptionists, to the instructors and chefs. The food was delicious and I loved the buffet! We also joined most of their scheduled activities as we both like to stay active. The water gymnastics before breakfast was a great way to start the day, the guided tour to a Skogsfinsk settlement was very interesting and our guide (and instructor) Marit was highly skilled and knowledgeable. We couldn’t have asked for better days! The relaxation exercises before dinner were also a nice treat. A fun happening the last day was that the staff dressed up and did a «Lucia tog» through the dining area! I will be back for sure, I highly recommend this place! It’s a smooth and well run operation where they seem to have a lot of recurring guests. It’s totally up to you whether you want to knit or read or just relax or be more active. Nobody is pushing you to do anything, you do what’s best for you.
