Good location, good service from reception. All in all a good place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in July. It was newly renowated and we loved the interior. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were spaceful. The brekfast is not overwhealming big like in some hotels , but it has  every thing you need to get a good start in the morning. I will definitivly choose this hotel for my next trip to Fredrikstad.

Lovely Hotel

A very nice hotel in the centre of Fredrikstad, comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice breakfast. Been there few times now and it never disappoints. There's a nice hotel bar for an evening chillex. Recommended.

Great, comfortable stay.

Smelling like old fungus in the hallways. Like a museum. I wouldn't stay there again for my own health purposes.

This is an older hotel that has been nicely refurbished. I found it to be comfortable and quiet. My room faced the street and I did not hear any noise during the night. It is located close to the waterway and it is a nice walk along there. There are restaurants, shopping and a good atmosphere in the area. You can walk as there are bridges over the waterway or take the water taxi to the old walled city.  I would stay there again if visiting Fredrikstad.

one night sleepover

A lovely restoration of an old hotel although rooms are just a little small to be able to spread out two suitcases comfortably.  staff were fantastic and breakfast was good although coffee was a little weak for my taste.  in fairness I like my coffee stronger than most folks. Comfortable beds and good shower but it would have been nice to have more space to put things.

Delightful restored hotel in perfect location.

Our room was pretty nice, but no AC, just a fan. Bur we were lucky, there were no summer heat this weekend..... The receptionist were very friendly. BUT the room maid forgot to tidy our bathroom, something I haven't experienced visiting about 15 different hotels every year! And during breakfast, something in the buffet were missing all the time, and we had to ask them to get it. And they didn't clean the tables without asking then to do so. They breakfast were understaffed. The management of this hotel do have to decide if they will carry on only to compete by being inexpensive or if they also want to offer quality.

Improvement needed!

We stayed one night here and were greated by friendly and helpfull staff. We had bikes with us that we could place securely in a room in the hotell.  The room was clean and nice, and after a good nigth rest we enjoied a teriffic breakfast the next morning. Higly recommended.
