Klingenberg Fjord

This was just a one night stop, between more illustrious places, but was very nice and a pleasant surprise. Classier than a motel. It was clean, a nice room, a good evening meal (local dish), decent breakfast and friendly staff. The decor was nicer than anticipated too. It serves the local business/industry travellers as well as tourists but its location right by the fjord side is beautiful. An electric car charging point is also right alongside. All in all, a very pleasant stop and good value for money.

Silje was the best of the sights, I'd probably drink myself to an early grave if I stayed there longer.
Not many restaurants in the area.
Room wasn't very modern but it was decent enough.
Rent a car if you plan to visit.

We stayed at Klingenberg during a weekend in August. We were met with outstanding service from the very moment we entered the hotel: Our luggage were carried to the rooms, which were very clean and fresh-smelling.  We had most of our meals in the restaurant connected to the hotel. There we were served tasty, homemade food – both lunches and dinners – and in such ggenerous portions!  All our requests were solved by the hotell staff there and then, without any hesitation. We will warmly recommend Klingenberg to other guests!

Very nice staff, spacious and stylish common areas, fireplace, very good dinner and breakfast.  Beautiful view. Spacious and satisfactory room.  Clean.  Only minus was a too small bathroom.   Electric car charger next to hotel.  Well worth a visit.

The hotel is on the water with beautiful surrounding views. Lots of waterfalls hanging on the mountains. About a little over an hour away from the Stegastein Lookout. Yet expensive though. Dinner was highly priced. We ended up going to a restaurant, Mama Mia, about 16 mins away at only close to 1/3 of the price and food was delicious. Breakfast was good though.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way back from Flam to Oslo. Excellent hotel located in small village of Ardal on banks of Sognefjord. We were group of 9 pax and the hotel served us excellent vegetarian cuisine for dinner. Very helpful and cooperative staff. Good room size. Though they need to improve on amenities in bathroom. They have nice library with 24hrs supply of Coffee and Tea. Highly recommended. 

Having visited this hotel from time to time over the last years, it has kept improving. 
Food has become very good, and the lobby area is a nice place to be with a decent pub. 
Room standard is variable though, some are large and nice, others are a tad too small and cumbersome for my taste. This can be sorted out when booking, if available.

This hotel is nothing exceptional. The rooms are below average, so is the breakfast. There is no elevator. However, the staff is nice and serviceminded.  The prices are quite steep, considering the auality of the place. Årdalstangen is basically an industrial place, but also a gateway to some beautiful scenery.

Overpriced but ok.

This hotel has an 80's feeling to it. There aren't many choices around here, so we settled for this one. The room also has an 80's feel with and in need of renovation. Shower was designed for horror movies.

Our dinner in the hotel's restaurant was wonderful (tough pricey at 700 NOK). Breakfast was solid, not too good, not awful. The view to the fjord outside was spectacular. 

Staff was welcoming and the reception helped us with directions.
