Very old fashion, probably from the 70th, and the bedding was awful in the cottage. They could not find my order, and everything was written down in a notebook on paper. 
The bathroom and alll the common areas was clean and ok. Very old couple running the place, did not spoke English . 

Old fashion and out dated

My main disappointment was not reading reviews prior to booking. 

We had an awkward check in because we don’t speak Norwegian but I used Google Translator hoping this would help. 

The lady behind the counter wouldn’t let me pay with Visa and sent me into town to get cash then charged me an exorbitant amount for linen. I would have accepted the extreme pricing for the cabin and linen if the cabin was as it should have been but it smelt awful and wasn’t up to our standards. 

We definitely won’t stay again. The location is good as is the setting but the service and the accommodation is poor. The worst we’ve encountered on our holiday through Norway.

We booked a cottage for two, with a double bed in advance ,same day not refundable When we arrived. We were told two men can't have a double bed and we were offered bunk beds!  This cottage we No good, no bed linen, no towels, not soap, no tv connection, no cooker, no toaster .no view.   This was a cheaper , but no meantion of a refund, and you have to pay for towels and  all bed linen. £12 per towel all together.  This INCREASES the cost by up to 50%,   
PLEASE DONT CAUGHT OUT.  Better hotels in the town ......

Warning please be aware.

We only stayed one night in July as we were driving through to Trondheim. The cabins at the camping ground were fully booked except a large hut that slept 8 -12. While it wasn't cheap (as there were only three of us), it was very clean and comfortable with kitchen, lounge and a verandah. You do need to bring your own towels and sheets as these aren't provided. The area is really lovely and you can fish and cycle there. The town of Fauske is only 3.5 km away.

Comfortable and convenient

The cottage we were assigned did not look like the picture on net. It was a room in a long barrack. Not well insulated, so you could hear the neibours conversations! Opened an old fridge in the kitchen, it did not work and smelled real bad. The sofa was, as all the furniture, run down and not clean, would not even leave anything on it. Just right the TV did not work neither. Bedspreads, towels and cleaning are extra, which is not easy to see on the nettsite.

Fauske Camping is a small but authentic campground north of the Arctic circle surrounded by pine and birch trees. Its location is super convenient, just off the E6 connecting Nordkapp to Trondheim. The staff is friendly and young. It’s one of the cheapest campsite we stayed at in Norway. Be aware that pitches are undelimited and inclined. They tend to become muddy after a rainy night. The sanitary block is pretty basic and rustic. The number of showers and toilets is insufficient. The camper service suffers from the same issues.
