Together with a friend we spent two nights at this friendly place where you can dine or just settle for a glass of wine, normally these places are separate. All the better when the owner sits down for a little talk and make people connect if they want to. The place is run by a young couple and the service is good, the food spectacular and can only compared to restaurants in town. We also went on an muskox safari, and saw three close up and fifteen or so altogether. Excellent guide, comfortable walk in a beautiful terrain. We were hiking along the pilgrimage route.

Cool & comfortable

Spent one night in one of their motel rooms on return to Oslo from Alesund (they have cabins too but didn’t go inside). The room was relatively new, relatively large (especially for Europe) with excellent shower. Staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Dinner was excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area. 

Simple, comfortable motel with great dinner

We have had a great experience leaving on. Musk ox safari together with Furuhaugli’s own guide. We saw 11 musks on our tour. 

For the hotel accommodation - one word excellent!  The room was clean and practical!

Great experience

Me and my husband went on musk oxen safari this June and it was great. We've seen 4 musk oxen and we've even seen moose at noon! We have also ordered lunch at the hotel; we ate moose forvthe first time and it was great! Also the beer is great (smallest brewery in Norway). 
We were really satisfied with everything :) 

We stayed two nights in late April and did a guided moskus-ox-safari. The breathtaking tour took us quickly to three male oxes and our guide had brought professional gear so we were able to observe the animals in and take pictures of great detail.
The staff was incredibly friendly at all times, kind and helpful.
This will very certainly be one of our most memorable experiences in Scandinavia.

Fantastic, wonderful, amazing

We spent two nights with our tent here. The kitchen and other facilities were very clean. The restaurant served a good lunch and we enjoyed the local beer they offered. 

Overall a good stay while going on the St Olav's pilgrimage. 

Tent and food

Furuhaugli is very convenient as a start point for skiing ou hiking trip.
Dombås railway station is about 20 minutes from there.
Cabins are very comfortable, food (and local beers) is excellent and Stein and his family are really pleasant and helpful.
You can also book a musk ox safari.
Thank you to all the team, it's was a pleasure to meet them.

An amazing place to start a trip in national park

Comming back,  year after year.  This time Withn an RV.  
What a view over Dovre Mountain. 
This time i had the wild Meat.  Very good taste.  
My father and I was hunting here for 35 year.  Ikke feel I was raiced here.
