In overeenstemming met de institutionele regelgeving en de regels met betrekking tot de toegangskosten (met of zonder shuttleservice) in Venetië en de eilandjes in de lagune van Venetië, wordt er een extra toeslag in rekening gebracht aan dagjesmensen die niet in Venetië overnachten en van plan zijn om het historische stadscentrum te bezoeken in de periode van vrijdag t/m zondag of op feestdagen tussen 08.30 en 16.00 uur. De toeslag bedraagt tussen de € 5 en € 10 per dag, afhankelijk van de boekingsdatum. Uitgezonderd van deze toeslag zijn kinderen jonger dan 14 jaar, inwoners van Venetië en de regio Veneto en mensen die in Venetië werken of studeren. Gasten die overnachten zijn ook uitgezonderd van deze toeslag en moeten toeristenbelasting betalen bij de accommodatie.

Further exemptions may apply to patients and their companions, and people staying in the city for specific purposes/duties, subject to the submission of proper documents to the property. A 30 percent reduction applies from 1-31 January.
