I stayed here for more than two years , I could go on and on about the the bad service received most times, however I will choose to reserve some of that else I will have to write a whole text book, however I was highly disappointed on how they treated me after more than two years , and the only reason I am writing here is because I talked my frustrations with them and even after that no one contacted my to apologize or anything , which mr CY had a very big hand in making my stay miserable, lacks customer relations skills. this has got to be oner of the worst management I have ever come across. i also suggest you advertise services you are capable of fulfilling without hinges that in turn makes your client uncomfortable.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

There was an initial issue retrieving our booking which was done just 1 month previously, and the manager was not expecting us at all and had no rooms gor us, but he resolved this issue promptly, finding us suitable accommodation. The staff were respectful and helpful. The apartment is in a secured gated estate, and location is in Lekki quite close to Victoria island and the famous Landmark beach. The only minus is the wifi which often disconnects and can be slow at times.

The internet did not work AT ALL, construction all around so it was noisy and the young man at the reception was rude and unprofessional.

Our family stayed here for months during our international adoption process.  At times there were just two of us there, other times we had our entire family (2 adults and 4 kids).  Our stay was EXCELLENT and we felt so fortunate that we found the Millennium Apartments on Airbnb.  The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating and they took great care of us.  They cleaned our rooms daily, and our kids loved playing in the small pool in the back.  Any issues we had were addressed immediately and professionally.  The area was safe and walking distance to a nice grocery store with plenty of American goods, which we really enjoyed. Also walking distance or very short ride to Twin Waters with a movie theater and arcade.  Laundry on-site.  We will stay here again next time we travel to Lagos and we highly recommend it to others!

Great Experience!

Stayed for 10 nights,Staff always available Friendly and helpful. .Apartment was good size and well maintained . My Girlfriend and I cooked in the apartment and had all we needed, although a smaller cookpot would have been helpful.as well.Swimming pool although not huge was big enough very clean and sheltered.Guest Security was very good as was the neighborhood, ATM and Supermarket close by. !0 mins by taxi to beaches .Only slight moan is the upgrade apartment was not forthcoming  but wasn't an issue as rented apartment was very good.Would recommend  Highly .

the staff were friendly and helpful, we were upgraded to a nicer apartment. Will visit again.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and quiet environment and neighborhood and safe too. The room was well equipped as advertised. Will visit again.

.....lot of construction site around the apartment, it´s loud, dirty, lots of excessive burning smoke, the pool totally messed up, not possible to use! 

It was a disappointment for us :-( 

The "PLUS": Workers are friendly and patient.

Not a nice palce to stay.......

Good: 
1. smell of mosquito spray in the hallway give you the impression that the hotel is serious about preventing malaria carrying mosquito;

2.  Decent security.  The door man acted provided security open and close the gate to allow car in; This is so that any bad element outside of the wall would not have access to you;  You must use the electronic card to open the hallway door , and finally you use your room electronic key to open the apartment room door;

3. Very friendly receptionist; helpful staff – I came back shopping lugging with 6 bottles of 1.5L drinking water in one hand and another 5 shopping bag in another hand.  I was entering the front door thru the reception desk, the cleaning man saw me and rush to carry the water to my room.  That is good service and I appreciate that.

4. quiet stay; I love it – no smoking allowed, the hotel is smoke free; 

5. throughout the property it had been very clean during my stay; The live-in house keeper man mop the hallway and staircase every day at 5pm.

6. free Wifi is a plus even during power interruption it was fine, possibly the source is DSL thru phone line.

7. A natural alarm clock of rooster cuckooring every morning at 5:30am in neighboring new construction site.

Room for improvements: 
1.The end hallway door from the swimming pool opened from the outside sometimes to let the mopped hallway floor dry but this enable mosquito to fly in; 

2.It has the smallest gym in a hotel I have ever gone to. 

3.One old and small treadmill and two benches with free weight like toy. 

4. No security latch in my room to prevent or slow down someone who wanted to force open the door into the room; 

5. very weak water pressure in my room; the next door room that I move into had decent water pressure.

6. outside the hotel the drainage ditch is stagnant for mosquito breeding ground (not the fault of hotel). 

7. Only five TV  DSTV satellite channels (CNN, Telemundo, Nigeria Family Channel, Sport channel and Nigeria music channel).  

8. Bath towel only changed two time during the one month I was there; even though I was told changing twice a week; 

9. power outage ranging from 1 to 4 times a day mostly from 6pm to 10pm although no fault of the hotel; The security guard will immediately start up the back up diesel generator in the front and you will have power backup in about a few seconds.

10. emergency generator kick on a few seconds later (thank you).  However, I had to physically turn on the TV everytime after power failure; the next room TV will resume automatically when power is back on.

11. My mattress is not the best, must had been either cheap poor quality to start with or very old; 

12.  the gated compound can only accommodate three cars maximum so it depend on your luck if your are late to occupy the space; no fear, this hotel is small and very little occupancy so high chance you will get a parking.

13. No courtesy amenity to speak of in the studio apartment (only a 2” long bar of soap, a roll of toilet paper and a white towel provided); Did not find small shampoo or conditioner or skin moisture lotion or plastic shower cap or toothbrush or disposable razor or ear buds or hair dryer or shower gel or disposable toothbrush or face towel or tissue paper or coffee or tea bags.

14. Swimming pool is small, 16’ x 16’ should have convert it into a Jacuzzi. I did not take a dip as the water is not heated so I presumed it is same temperature as you take a cold shower.

15. No welcome drink was offered to me on arrival which is no big deal.

16. by American standard the hotel room rate is high.  However, considering this location is Lekki in Lagos and very limited choice and prices are not competitive; This boutique hotel also use airbnb to bring in customer.

17. The flat screen TV is small (27”) to my taste and I am grateful to have TV pictures in the room.  

18.The picture quality is 480p/i or poorer;  

19.no security iron safe in my room to keep my valuable. 

I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in Millennium Apartment and this had been my home for a month.  I would highly recommend for an expatriate to stay here for a temporary home.  The staff and the owner named Max are very courteous and humble.

From the photos I post the hotel manager would know who I am, so after reading the guest past reviews, I know that the Guest Relation Manager would like to rebuff (to fight)all the points I made.  However, you should take my comments as a constructive suggestion to improve the hotel (where possible).
