i discovered deenapartment through a recommendation by a friend. it is indeed a hidden secret, in a byroad in alausa. but it is less than five minutes by food from ikeja shoprite mall. the best thing: unlike many other hotels in nigeria, they really try to focus on service here. generator is always on, free wifi, cozy and clean rooms, affordable price - something that is rare to find in this combination in lagos. try to book early, since they only have a few rooms.

hidden secret in lagos

I stayed at the hotel Earlier this year. The hotel is located in Alausa near Shoprite in Ikeja. It's set in a secluded close which was more or less a private road with limited and restricted traffic. The facilities in the hotel were above average, each room had a frigde and air conditioned. At least two of the rooms had a jacuzzi and a spa shower. The lower ground floor room had a kitchenette. The furnishing in the room were quite basic but the room was clean. There was a communal area where you could access the internet, unfortunately this was not consistent. I believe the owner is working on improving this service. Furthermore, there is a gym on site for the more energetic.

The hotel had regular electricity and overall very secure which was very important. There staff were the star, they offered a personalized service, making it feel like home away from home. The location of the hotel to the shopping mall gave easy access to eateries without having to travel far.

The accommodation is affordable and the manager is willing to negotiate a competitive rate  for extended stay. Well worth a visit!
