Very good
11 reviewsFood: Food there is excellent if a tard bit expensive. They do good yam and stew for breakfast. Their local soup is to die for and the quantity as well as presentation is good. RECEPTION STAFF: Since my last visit there staff at the reception seem more engaged and helpful. Clare and her team are doing a great job, interactive with customers. I single out Ebuka and one other young man for being quite excellent. HOUSEKEEPING: My room was good although l have to say that sometimes l came back from where .ever l went to a room still not done. It looks like they need more than one chamber maid on the floor l was at. Oluchi was good and polite. My only reservation is that when doing the rooms, the chambermaids should just not tidy away a guest's property and concentrate on tyding the room. My other bug bear is staff chatting loudly on the floor so much so that you hear them. Apart from that the hotel is a place to really rest. SECURITY: The staff at the gate were very professional. There was a particular young man who seemed happy in his job and was always polite whenever l passed by. I felt safe in the hotel. TV: There should be more channels in the room. I was able to view just two news channels and one local channel. I would have liked more local channels to choose from. GYM: I used the gym quite a bit. There were some equipments l could not use because the weights left on them were just too heavy. Secondly, the gym could do with mats although l understand with the pandemic you don't want to be sharing mats. BATHROOM: Closer attension should be paid to the bathroom. Perhaps install hand grab rails in the bath and make sure the bathroom floor is actually thorougly washed to avoid slipping. On a few occassion, the floor was slippery. BED: I have stayed in comparable hotels in Enugu and this is the first time l encountered a rock hard mattress. It took my body two weeks to adjust to the hardness and had to place the duvet on top to get any sleep. I know it's supposed to be orthopedic but this was something else. Finally, the staircase hand rails need urgent attension before a guest falls and injure themselves. The hotel will pay dearly if that happens , reputationally and financially. Generally speaking, keep working on good customer care, pool side/bar/gym staff need to work on this
