I stayed at The Gates for 6 weeks during May & June 2019. The staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Issac the Chef, Moses the General Manager, Kingdom the Food & Beverage Manager, all the Bar staff and the Reception staff did everything possible to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend The Gates. I will definitely be returning. Thank you all. 

I recommend this hotel to  all my friends and well wishers, I was really amazed at the humility and sincerity of both the management and front line staff at the gates hotel. I will make a must visit on my next stay in enugu.

I stayed just one night but the Gates Hotel is clearly a step up from other hotels in Enugu. The rooms are clean, staff are attentive and food is good.  I complained about a light not working in my room - the maintenance man turned up less than a minute later. On the downside the wine selection is not good, not unusual in Nigeria though.  Overall a very pleasant stay. I hope the owner keeps up maintenance and the good standards.

The Gates is a very beautiful hotel, infact one Of The best hotels in Enugu. Starting from the very neat and cool environment(esp.The arena behind the hotel)to the warm reception you receive.The place is well equipped and everything is working well. The meals I ate was tasty and response you get  When you need anything is amazingly fast.I enjoyed my wedding anniversary and will love to visit again.

Good quality place to stay in Enugu  - and good value too

A beauty to behold

Staff are willingly available to assist always

Hi have been supporting this place for a year now, but things have really deteriorated. Second stay in a row, no water, poor service although they try hard. The food is brilliant. No internet which is important when on a business trip. 
I always ask for the rooms away from the car park as it is very noisy, they always claim they are full despite the fact that I booked far in advance and am the only one in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
I real hope they fix things, unfortunately I have found a far better alternative. 
Pity.
