I went to Machele for one week retreat in December 2020 
It was the most amazing week with great food, relaxing time and amazing staff.
As soon as you arrive you have a shuttle waiting for you from Machele Hotel, the driver is the most amazing sweet driver. 
The owners Chance and Kate are always there for you to make sure you have the most amazing experience. 
They offer yoga, pilates classes as well,  they also have tours to  Granada city , Vulcano  and farmers market they really think about every detail. 
Ok and the food :)) Amazing fresh food!!! I won’t forget my first day I arrived so tired and they welcome our group with the most amazing lobster night it was amazing no words !
Ok if you are looking for a relaxing , good food , friendly staff , great surf with warm water please check out this place is worth it every dime !!!
Ahhhh also if you are a surfer or like to fish omg perfect they arrange boat trips for surfing and fishing for you !
Ahhhh I can’t forget they have Salsa 💃 dance class and the teacher is unbelievable and was so much fun.

Don’t waste your time and book your stay with them you won’t be disappointed I promise you !!

A secret  paradise /the best Hotel

Friendly management and clean rooms, very close to the beach (you hear each wave)

Have stayed here many times without incident. Always gave 5 star rating previously. Unfortunately the recent problems in Nicaragua have affected this hotel negatively. We were the only clients during our 2 night stay. Pool was not clean, rather milky white water too questionable to enter after we saw it in light of day. Room OK no complaints. Dinner food horrible, almost not edible. Everything is microwaved. Office admin. was cook in the kitchen. Fed my hamburger to the dog. We prepaid for "cook to order breakfasts" and were notified upon arrival that we would not be receiving them (4). NOT GOOD, as almost all restaurants in the area have closed leaving almost nowhere to eat out, and we were really depending on those breakfasts to start the day. Made us go hungry. Breakfast included was primary reason we booked there, thus our strong disappointment. No one was there to check us out @ 7:30 am, we were asked to wait there until 9am for the person to arrive for this purpose. We declined and left as was ridiculous request. Place is running on empty. So unfortunate as was one of our go to places for our monthly trips to Nicaragua.

Awesome place to relax.  Some rooms have small kitchen.  Rooms most comfortable and safe location. .  Near the beach and access to 4 wheelers.  price excellent and food incredible. Excellent location to share with friends.


Summer Vacation

Machele's Place is an absolute oasis. The rooms are clean and modern with super cold A/C, the pool is clean and cool, and the food is fantastic. But the best part is the service. Every single person we came in contact with (especially the bar/restaurant staff) was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. In fact, when we mentioned to the manager that we were looking for a place to get good lobster, she picked up her phone, called a neighbor, and had two lobsters delivered to us for the kitchen to custom-cook! Definitely a place we will return to!

Awesome visit to Playa Gigant!

We stopped into Machele's for dinner twice during our stay in Playa Gigante. Both times we received quality meals and good service. While their menu is higher priced than the other places we ate it is a bit more of an upscale environment. I would not hesitate to eat there again on our next visit.

Quality Dinner

Had dinner at Michele,s two nights. This was the most upscale restaurant we dined in at Playa Gigante. The food was good the service very good. They are higher priced than all the other places where we had dinner.

Family vacation

Well located in the centre of Playa Gigante, I am sure this is a nice spot to stay but we just had a dinner and later a lunch here. Good menu and food very passable though I felt they could achieve more with a little imagination. Excellent salad but the calamari everyone raves about a little on the dry side for my taste. Good service with a smile.

Fantastic little oasis in a little local town

My boyfriend and I ate here after struggling for cheaper good options in the area but actually we discovered it wasn't pricey for most dishes and had a good selection. We had tasty chicken burritos which lacked a bit of flavour (too much cheese with no peppers or onions, as you might usually have, to add extra taste) but there was hot sauce and chips on the side so that added to it. A quiet atmosphere but good for a quick bite and a drink.
