Hotel Posada Doña Blanca

This small Posada has about 6 rooms total, and is very centrally located about 3 blocks off the main plaza in downtown Leon. It is quite affordable, with price options from just a room with no A/C use, to use of the A/C ,plus continental breakfast. It has rooms around a central courtyard and gardens, with a small area for seating at breakfast, plus additional seating . The rooms are comfy and clean, with hot water, fan, and wi-fi. The beds are good, with nice linens. They also have a safety deposit box for valuables. The owner and staff are very nice, English is limited though. We did have a "weird" incident with two of the junior staff ladies one day though, when we were paying our bill, and they insisted that the 25 colone' coins we used were not currency! With luck, the owner arrived to settle the dis-agreement, and seemed as shocked as we were that the both of them did not even know that 4 twenty five centavo coins made a colony'. Since they were both quite rude with us, I made them apologize to us in front of the owner, who scolded them both afterwords! Apart from this minor thing, I would recommend anyone to stay here.
