El Hostal is much more than a hotel, in fact, in my room the air conditioning is not cool, yet the attention is wonderful, the staff is kind and willing to help you make your stay something unforgettable... In my case I have a bad back, and they got me a comfortable chair to rest better... They have free yoga classes, and other attractive activities.

The pleasure of feeling welcome.

If you are looking for a place where to feel like home, well this is the place. Friendly staff halping in everything, cosy and easy going ambience great peoples. During my stay i enjoyed a free  joga lesson and a theatre function... never happened to me beafore in a hostel.
The only problem, u will feel like soo easy that u want leave it easly!

Good staff care, with an excellent location in the center of Managua city, the multiple rooms as private are very comfortable, super clean, very pleasant the hostel and feels a peace of mind like home, about the prices not to speak, super comfortable, accessible, a place to frequent continuously.

We stayed here for two nights and it was lovely. When I got sick the owners went above and beyond to look after me. The rooms were clean and spacious and affordable. The location was also close to food and the mall.

Awesome

Good family run backpacker hostel. Dorm was $10 a person with a breakfast/coffee included. Private rooms $25. Rooms, commons area, and kitchen are very clean. Kitchen is large with everything needed to cook your own food, and a fridge and freezer to store food. There is a La Colonia super market very close by (5 min walk) in the metro centro, which is convenient. Dorms have individual lockers and multiple fans. Showers were a bit weak for the dorms, but strong in the private rooms. The manager, Ilisabeth, woke up early, before 4am, just to make us coffee and walk us to the street to pick up a taxi. Super helpful. This is a nice place to stay if you have to stay in Managua at any point in your trip.

Clean place to stay and rest in Managua

When we came to Managua we just wanted to stay for one or two nights but in the end we stayed for almost one week.  We felt so comfortable and the staff was very nice! They helped us with everything and we felt so welcome in their local family. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and you can choose between a dorm or a private room. It's a 5 minute walk to metrocentro mall, which is the most central place, since there is no real city center.  
The hostel is very new so you should definitely give it a chance and by that meet their cute puppy Limho! 

Perfect place to get lost in Managua!

This hostel has changed locations as of February 2017!

The staff were completely discourteous about the change in address (.5 miles from the old location) and the resulting change in rooms booked. Bathrooms didn't have shower curtains, no hot water, and only a drip came out of one of the showers. Also, no towels provided.

Children were often running around the common areas of the hostel at early hours creating lots of noise, and a TV was running all day long.

The breakfast was adequate - coffee, an egg, gallo pinto, and bread.

The hostel helped us book transportation to/from the airport, but it was well overpriced.

Change of location - awful communication

I was warmly welcomed by Alvaro and his team. The hostel has an amazing garden where you can hear the birds singing, surprisingly for a hotel in the city center! A typical Nicaraguan breakfast will be offered.

Super hostel in Managua

We arrived at the hostel at dawn, the guy at the reception was a wholesale buyer, the room we had booked online was a wedding bed (private), the room we were given was located behind the cellar (where the towels, toilet paper and cleaning items are kept), the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned and there was no water (neither in the drawer nor in the sink) I was given a bucket of cold water to bathe in, in the drawer there was a grill and a used soap, along with hair everywhere... I would never recommend this hostel, much better than this, at least not by mistake, they cleaned the place!!!

It was the dirtiest hostel I'd ever visited.

It is nice, there is a very good atmosphere, the room and its exteriors are very comfortable in addition to the fact that the treatment of the staff was very friendly and their location, so if you are thinking of spending a few days in Managua for business or a family trip, I recommend them.
