Hotel verga with the old stinky lady and her stinky dog. It’s not worth $5 a night. Most of these reviews are not true. The water was always off and you had to beg her to open the water. She would turn off all the lights, even if you’re sleeping and the bathroom light happens to be on, she’ll sneak in and turn it off. She charged me $10 CDN extra because I came at 11:30 pm, and she closes her doors at 11:00 pm. It feels like you’re in a jail, with so many locks around the house and not being able to leave without getting the lady to let you out and in. I had the worst night of my life here. If you are ever in Masaya, just go to hotel masaya. I went there after spending the night here, and I felt like I was free. Everything was nice and professional there, and it was the same price.

BEWARE

Don’t stay here, it was a terrible experience for me. In order to use water to shower or wash your hands, you have to ask the owner to turn on the pump. Whenever you ask her, she is very annoyed at your request. She always turns off all the lights in the hotel so you have to walk around with a flashlight. Surprisingly, she imposes a curfew on the guests. If you’re not back by 11:00 pm, good luck trying to get in. It sucks because the hotel is in a good location with a lot around it, but you can’t enjoy any of it because you’re locked up inside. Very depressing and boring vibe here. Go to any other hotel then this one. If you wanna be in a jail, book here. And to the owner, if you want this business to be successful, remove Lydia from the hotel. She made my night here miserable. 

Do not stay here, look elsewhere 

Senora Lidia is a old stingy lady that rents rooms for 30$ / night.
The house is nicely placed next the Cathedral of Masaya and is confortable to reach any part of the city but on the other hand is REALLY noisy and even at night you will be waken up by people screaming, bells, fireworks, loud music...
I don't complain about our room, generally was clean but really dusty (allergic people adviced!).. But the rest of the house is not that clean.
The dog sleeps on every sofa, the kitchen is old and smell of humidity and yesterday we were preparing a dinner with other guests and we saw a RAT running in it.
Moreover you are supposed to receive free breakfast. BUT if you use the kitchen, even to prepare a sandwitch (!!!) the old Lidia will tell you (gently) "tomorrow no free breakfast".
And it's nice since she prepares breakfasts with the food left by other guests...
You are adviced, she will try to get more money from you (for example we asked a taxi to the airport and she asked 30$, then we asked to a taxi driver passing in the street and it was 20$...).
Lidia will also walk after you all the time moaning and willing if you had turned off the light in your room or bathroom.. 
In conclusion: we stayed 4 nights, we paid 120$ (cash at our arrival) and we think with that price you can go in a real hotel and have better services, more privacy, clean and silence.
