My trip was in March 2020 and the rooms are clean, the showers are separate. But the hospitality of the staff and the high quality of the excursions compensate well for these details (although we didn't mind), the overnight excursion on the Telica was amazing! The guide was very good, he told us a lot about the country, its fauna and flora

Good hostel for young people

It is a s-it hole. Don’t stay here.. wifi sucks. No TV. Bed bugs.. dirty. Waste of money. No need to say more. $ 35.00 a night should have looked for a better place.. I fully regret staying here. Don’t book this hotel. Should have check trip adviser.

Wifi sucks

The Lazybones Hostel in Leon was originally our last stop in Nicaragua, if this virus hadn't come in between. :) The hostel itself seems a little old. The breakfast was okay, staff neutral to friendly. :) The pool offers the opportunity to cool down for a short time. The communal baths and toilets serve their purpose. The assigned room is unfortunately not worth talking about here. No windows, little bed, no room. But with something Flor de Caña in the evening you can already sleep in it. We only have to use the bed for two days because we have done a volcano tour with overnight stay (recommend Volcano Day). Positive mention is that despite this, we were able to make sure our backpacks were used in an extra office for one night.

Something came in the years

Great hostel with loads of space. Staff is super helpful and the pool just makes this 100% awesome!! For sure check out the private rooms but if you are on a budget the dorm rooms are more than a good option.

Love the hidden pool

We stayed in this establishment on our way to Leon. The setting is nice patio, swimming pool (a big plus for the afternoon start). The staff is friendly and smiling, always good advice for excursions, restaurants and transport. The rooms are short but meet the standards of the country. A little refreshment would be welcome. Tea, free pool coffee, it is nice so it should be emphasized. Wifi in the premises of the establishment. Breakfast is very good. I recommend this hotel located 5 minutes from the main square.

It's a super clean place, the staff is very friendly, there's plenty of recreational space and an excellent cafe and excellent price ♡ very lovely place, I definitely intend to return.

Relaxing device.

Clean rooms, nice swimming pool, really top service, the possibility to organize excursions throughout the region thanks to the partnership between the hotel and a local agency, good location etc. In short, what happiness for us.

Excellent hotel with a very helpful manager

Our private room was strategically placed to maximise every noise in the hostel - it was sandwiched between a stairwell, games room and common area (with quiet times not enforced). I suspect the room was a pool pump room in its previous life as it was an airless concrete bunker through which all sound reverberated. DO NOT stay in room 16! 
The rest of the property was incredibly clean and staff were lovely. It is in an excellent location. Unfortunately I can’t give it a good score because of our uncomfortable experience.

Noisy and uncomfortable 

The hostel itself is fine, if not a bit dirty in places (would have been nice 10 years ago...). However the owner is one of the rudest and most condescending men I’ve ever met and I implore anyone not to go to his hostel as to not fill his pockets. Go to Mango’s instead who have equally good facilities and a lovely staff

This hostel is really good - free tea and coffee in the morning, good pool, a pool table lots of hammocks and these real cool rocking chairs to chill in. Not free, but very reasonably priced breakfasts. The staff are really nice. Also, they offer a volcano boarding tour that is the cheapest I saw in Leon.
BUT, the dorm room I stayed in was simply to hot. The fan there did literally nothing. As a result every night I would have a terrible, terrible sleep. The place is pretty cheap, but in my opinion not cheap enough to justify sweltering dorm rooms. If you can sleep through the heat and want a pool, then I’d recommend this place, but if not don’t book it! You won’t get a good sleep.
