Great service from staff. Tip them. They work 6 days/week. Generally pretty quiet except Semana Santa week( I never stay)  and after February(swim pool warm) when families visit week ends and swimming pool and nearby rooms super noisy.
Have stayed here frequently since 2021 and have not seen a gym. They probably closed it years ago.
Dining room can be really noisy when hotel has a business conference. Frequently.
Esteli has 2 festivals. 1 before Christmas and another in Jan-March. Hotel Don Vito raises prices. 1st festival is a horse-cowboy/girl parade with marching bands etc. Interesting once. 
Wifi barely works in ground floor rooms back of hotel.
Single room prices went up 40% February 2023.
Good location near Calle commercial and Transporte North bus station.

Hotel Don Vito 2023

My family and I stayed 2 night at this hotel and from the moment we got there the receptionist where so kind and helpful, they also help you to parking the car ( I mean they have valet parking services).  When we got at the room it was so clean and beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had everything we needed it. The breakfast was included and it was so delicious.
All the staff were so kind and friendly. They also gave us a discount in our tariff.

Nice Hotel

we met the owners and the whole staff was nice, the place was quiet and very clean, we highly recommend this hotel, its a bit far from the center, that was my impression but having a car, there is no problem.

great place

We stayed there for four nights in March 2018. It was a great experience. The staff was very helpful. We didn't have hot water in the shower the first day and they changed our room. The room was spacious and clean. Cleaning was done and toilettery supplies were provided every morning. Free bottle water was available all the time (which is rarely found in Nicaraguan hotels).  Also, there were nice menu choices for breakfast. Inside the building, the physical appearance was nice and eye pleasing. The location is close to the Centro. I highly recommend this place.

Hotel Don Vito-great exu

We hadn't planned to stay at Don Vito originally, however after finding out our plan A didn't hold our reservation we quickly turned to the first hotel in Estelí with private parking. Not on the same premises but not further than a block away.
Well maintained and clean. Quiet and pleasant. We left early so we couldn't check the breakfast but would be curious about it. Somehow I didn't sense the place was full yet we got the deluxe room... Again we got in late and left early so I might be mistaken. Rather large room with multiple AC units... Good wifi

Nice place to crash!

The common spaces of the hotel were cute.  They have a balcony for breakfast too, which was charming.  The breakfast (second floor) was great, with a large menu, and excellent coffee (of course). Some rooms were nicer than others--a bit more updated.  It was by no means luxurious, but it was safe and clean, and the staff were friendly.

Fine place to stay in Esteli.

There didn't seem to be a lot of places to stay in Esteli, which is too bad because we had a great day touring the canyons, so we chose Don Vito based on affordability and some decent reviews on Trip Advisor. I wish we had paid a little more to stay somewhere else or just would have left Esteli earlier in the day and stayed at Selva Negra an hour away. Our Nicaraguan driver told us he thought Hotel Don Vito was a "sex hotel" whatever that means, catering more so to trysts and one-night stays. Perhaps biased with that in mind, everything about our hotel room seemed uncomfortable, from the plush red carpet to the bed (we slept over the covers). The staff was friendly enough but no one speaks English. We also were told there was breakfast included but when we went down to the lobby there was nothing being served. We essentially got the hell out of there as fast as we could.
