Me and a friends stayed here for three nights in March. The hotel was very well located, close to most of Granada's action. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and Ivo and his wife, the owners, are very nice people willing to go the extra mile. Rooms are clean, breakfast is included. We had a great time in this amazingly beautiful colonial city.

I stayed here 2/13-14/2015 with my friend. This place is on a quiet street and within walking distance to the center of Granada. We had free wifi, a working AC, towels, clean beds, and breakfast (a bowl of papaya and pineapple, a fried egg with toast and coffee.) The staff were very nice and helpful. No complaints considering their price. I'd definitely stay here again.

The family that runs this hotel is incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms were large and clean, with very comfortable beds for a budget hotel. Very close to all the sights in Granada (and the grocery stores!), but tucked away on a quiet street. Great breakfast that kept us going for the whole day! Definitely recommend.

Recently taken over by new managetment, this mid-level guest house fills a vital niche between classes of accommodation in Granada bridging the gap between hostel & luxury, at value rates. Rooms are big & clean, with AC and fresh bedding. Showers have hot-water at the tap. Wi-Fi is excellent, getting into the rooms without interference. And the house's common spaces are unusually airey, given it's western exposure (the breeze off the lake usually blows westward, so it's interesting that a west-facing house gets so much air). It's location is prime: 1/2 block north of Granada's central fire station, so it is well removed from the noise & bustle of La Calzada and the central market areas, but they're only a short stroll away. Also, it's a convenient stroll to the best supermarkets (La  Colonia & La Union) on Ave. Immaculada. On the down side, furnishings are rather Spartan over all, and the rooms lack some small amenities in furnishings, such as room safes, comfortable sitting chairs, simple writing tables, & updated A/V equipment.

Casa de Alto: Under New Mgt

Prices have risen significantly in Granada in the past few years. It is hard to find good value. I  stayed a week here, and consider it reasonable value for the money,but, but barely.
The rooms I saw and stayed in were large, but Spartan. Hot water was hot, but there were issues with TV control, lights not working, albeit fixed upon request. Breakfast is fine, coffee ample. The website said "Private parking".  To me it means parking on the property. Here parking is at the Fire Hall. Not far, but I cannot call it Private Parking Safe, but not private. Although the Webpage said Credit cards are accepted, I was asked to pay cash. When I wanted to pay the last two days with a card I was told it has to be cash.  This hotel is acceptable, but not great.
