This property was clean and comfortably for our overnight stay. A big bonus with this property is the free laundry on sight

The manager was so lovely.  Room and grounds very clean and lovely gardens.  Was staying for work and the motel was exactly what I needed.  Would recommend.

Gem of a property! Well maintained and in a lovely location. Friendly staff!

Large spacious bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen.

My toddler and I had a great stay. It was warm, clean and tidy and the porta cot was fantastic! The staff also gave us a box of toys for her to play with and she loved the whole trip.

Such a quiet spot given it is right next to the highway. The service was amazing! Such a great place for families because it is so close to the botanic gardens and the playgrounds there.

Great stay , friendly hosts and good facilities. Bed a little softer than my personal preference of a firm mattress but still slept well.

Thanks for having us ! Great little units with all you need and so quiet even on a busy Easter weekend, easy drive into town or lovely short walk to the botanic gardens, we loved the big trampoline for our girl too ! We will definitely be back !

This is a very comfortable motel. The hostess was very friendly and informative, passing on her knowledge of the restaurants nearby.
Our room was a 1 bed unit. Very clean throughout. We only stayed one night, but it was very well equipped and I would easily have stayed for a couple more nights.
Although the motel is on the main road, it was extremely quiet. 
We did walk into the town, it took about 35 minutes.

Lovely Motel

This was a very small motel room for three people there was a king bed in one room and a single bed in the other room along with two chairs and a table and chairs which made it very cramped.   There were two hot plates for cooking and a fridge but so fans or air conditioning.   As it was summer it was very stuffy in the unit so I suggest that maybe an air conditioning unit or at least a fan in each room.   The unit was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was small.   There is off street parking and it was quiet overnight to sleep.   The rooms are serviced daily.

Clean and Tidy but small.

The motel is  conveniently located near the Botanical Gardens south of the centre of Timaru. It is on a main road, but we heard no road noise, despite being only two units back from the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the impression that our unit had been built a couple of decades back, but had been renovated to a modern standard. It was spacious, with a large living room, a small kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and two bedrooms each with a large double bed (this meant the space around them was quite narrow). We were very comfortable there.

A convenient and comfortable motel

Had a fabulous 4 night stay with my family. The owners are lovely welcoming people. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. There are little added touches that just make your stay more enjoyable. For example, They have washing facilities which is handy when you are travelling. Lots of TV channels. A trampoline for kids which was a real hit. Plenty of parking. An assortment of hot drinks. Warm rooms and plenty of blankets. Daily cleaning and extra towels. Kind staff who treat you like family.Definitely recommend this place.

This is one of the best motels we have stayed in ! The owner is so welcoming and very kind - nothing is too much trouble ! 
The rooms are well set out with everything you need . Comfortable beds , nice arm chairs , good shower and very clean and tidy ! 
It was so good we came back again for another night on our way back to Christchurch !

One of the best !

We can't recommend this motel highly enough.  Firstly Pam and her team were super friendly and went above and beyond for us and made us feel so very welcome.  They upgraded us to a gorgeous 1 bedroom unit which was super quiet with a huge comfortable bed, very spacious and such comfortable lounge chairs, & an extendable dining room table.  Also many windows to open for ventilation if needed, with a beautiful outlook onto the spacious garden area.  The motel is next to the Botanical Gardens as well, as an extra bonus.  We couldn'f fault this place.

Brilliant Accommodation

Stayed here with my daughter and grand daughters. Had a 2 bedroom unit. The hosts/staff were wonderful and friendly. The unit we had was beautiful and clean. Furniture was modern and a great TV. Beds were extremely comfortable for all of us. It had a spacious bathroom and kitchen had all we needed. We were really pleased with our decision to stay here.

Lovely accommodation

We stayed for two nights and experienced the full package! From the first phone call, nothing at all was a problem to Pam & her wonderful team. The lovely renovated two befroom apartment was just perfect for the four of us - arriving early evening, the heating had been put on well in advance, it was spotless, cosy with beds way beyond comfortable, a brilliant shower & access to all amenities to allow us to be totally independent for the two days. This was perfect for my elderly parents (86 & 88) who felt ‘at home’ in the easy to get about layout. A last minute order (after hours) for a continental breakfast for the older generation was efficiently taken care of ... & very well received! It’s been quite the talking point today!! Pam, thank you. Cedar Lodge Motel is the only place to stay in our opinion - highly recommended. Ange, Andy, June & Ron

Wonderful Accommodation

We were running late and had to ring to say we would be checking in late. Our room light was left on for us, heater and electric blankets were on too! We even got an extra sachet of hot chocolate for us to enjoy when we arrived. Hot water took awhile to get hot but it did! Not a complaint though just an observation. Great service and hubby loved the bed in our room.

We were travelling back to Christchurch and we we became stranded due to flooding as there was no alternate route. We were unexpectedly stranded with 6 adults and 2 small children. Pam, Brett and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and alleviate any stress we were feeling. They  juggled rooms around so we all had somewhere to sleep and even offered their own home if a room could not have been found for my family! We are so grateful for their kind hospitality, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will not forget you guys!
