Excellent views and convenient and comfortable stay before the Waitomo Caves

Food was great, owners were very friendly.

Was only for one night as I visited the Caves. I was given a mountain view room with a balcony which was nice. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The room was perfect, great hot water and pressure in the shower. If you are facing the road, you may experience traffic noise, but there are earplugs in your room.

Decent enough accommodation, good facilities, easy to find and can park by your room. We had no problems with road noise. Bar area is nice and the food (evening meal) was freshly cooked and good quality. The staff were really nice and friendly.

Awesome kind helpful staff, scrumptious meals, separate toilet and shower, air con, comfortable beds, well supplied kitchenette, spacious, and loved our room was upgraded .. don't know why but we loved it and Tv that works. Proximity to local towns, really enjoyed the quiet so we could rest. Highly recommended. Cheers

Friendly staff, easy check in, great sized cabins. Rooms were clean and cozy. My favourite little detail was the heated mattress pads. The kids loved the nearby farm animals and the grass space to run out their energy after a long car ride.

Unfortunately I had mechanical issues that prevented me from making use of motel, but I am sure it would be very acceptable.

Great little spot right near the glow worm caves... Very nice room with one full wall of windows leading to a cozy balcony... Clean, bright, and very comfortable... Friendly staff and easy check in... Nice on-site restaurant... It is directly off the highway, so it's a bit noisy, but not terrible, just cars whooshing by frequently...

Great value and comfy with an old touch.

Visit was fine. Room was smaller than i thought but was enough for myself and teenage grandson. Only thing l really was not happy with was the hair dryer in the bathroom couldn't be used there as was no plug. And whe i plugged it into the other room plug the cord wasn't long enough to see in the bathroom mirror.  So a real waste of time.

I was sad I only stayed here for one night, as the staff were friendly, the room was beautiful, the comfiest bed I’ve slept on in 7 months of travelling.Lots of room amenities, great hot water and a private terrace too.Only slight issue we had was wifi in the room is restricted to 500mb per voucher, and we ran out of data between two of us. You can buy more however we chose not too. Wouldve expected free wifi the whole stay but we got by.

Great stay, would highly recommend

I had booked this accommodation as it had a restaurant, was close to Waitomo Caves, was well priced and had SKY TV in order for me to watch All Blacks game.Linaire gave me a friendly greeting but informed me the restaurant was closed on that particular Saturday night so I was a bit disappointed. She offered to ensure I could have a room service meal which I ordered and paid for. It was a good roast!The room was spacious And the bed really comfy. The room felt a bit dated but was clean. The bathroom was roomy, and shower was great - apart from shower curtain round the legs!Next day housekeeping turned up at just before 4pm so I asked them to help me find SKY before the game started. Sadly I discovered there was no SKY! I was 😕.I was very comfortable in the room once I got over the disappointments.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay after your Waitomo caving experience, the Caves Motor Inn offers clean apartments at a  great price.  The staff were friendly and the double room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and very good value for money.  Just a short distance away from Waitomo Caves with restaurant and bar facilities onsite.

Good Value Accommodation

We just spent two nights at the Caves Motor Inn and found it to be a good choice when visiting Waitomo.  The woman at Reception was lovely and very helpful, the room was spacious with a fridge, kettle, coffee and tea.  Yes, the road was noisy in the day time, but we had no trouble sleeping at night, and did not need the supplied ear plugs. It was pleasant sitting out on the small balcony.  We were surprised by the lack of internet (apparently very sporadic and on a pay for use basis), but still consider our stay to be very positive.

Good proximity to Waitomo Caves.

We stayed in the "lodge" as we were traveling with 2 other adults.  It would have slept 7 easily, the beds were comfortable, the place was immaculately clean, the toilet was separate from the bathroom, and was large with a mirror and basin.  We would have liked a coffee table in the lounge, as there was only a bench to eat at in the kitchen.  A great place to stay when travelling with a family or other adults.

Our one night stay with family

She is not a young complex and she is not the most modern but it was friendly, buzzing on a Thursday night and very welcoming. great rooms with balconies, long hot showers, plenty of parking and great rural views. yes it is alongside the highway but the thoughtfully supplied ear plugs were not needed. the lounge was great, the wine pour generous and the ice-cream Sunday made for my 5 year old was a tremendous hit!  we were at the caves early int eh morning and they even provided a hand drawn map to the locations I needed to find.
