Comfy, great location. Loved the heated pool and the view.

The Reef is in a fantastic location, so close to the beach and a short drive to The Mount shops and restaurants. The two bedroom apartments are a good size. The kids love the pool & spa.

Beautiful views, use of boogie boards a great bonus

We had a great stay at the Reef Beachfront Apartments.  We were upgraded from a pool level 2 BR, 2 BA apartment to one on the 3rd level with a view of the Mount (though not the ocean, which was fine).  The apartment was enormous!  It was also very clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed: a large balcony with a table/chairs and sun umbrella, a full kitchen stocked with glassware, plates, pots, pans, etc, and (best of all) a full size washer and dryer.  The location was great, just across from a swimming beach.  It was a beautiful 20-30 minute walk into town and there was a great little cafe about a 5-7 min walk away.  New World was about a 5-10 min walk.Free garage parking was an added bonus.  We didn't end up using the pool or hot pool but both looked lovely.We'd stay here again.

Thank you Toni!  Loved this property.  Very well kept, great pool area, very spacious 2 bedroom suite with well-equipped kitchen and nicely open to a large living room area and dining table.  Everything I needed for a great 5 nights.  I highly recommend this property for a short or extended stay.

Lovely location, staff were friendly, room was clean and tidy. Our children had an awesome time. Pool was perfect and so close to the beach. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend

Manager was excellent and very accommodating. The units dryer was OOO which was inconvenient but the manager was able to provide an option. The stovetop wasn’t intuitive. I had to look online for operating instructions. It was a simple child lock feature but would be helpful to have some easy instructions for future.

The Reef was our base for 2 weeks whilst we met up with family.  Our apartment was spacious and comfortable with everything you need to self cater.  Appreciated the mid stay apartment service clean sheets and towels always welcome.The onsite parking was a bonus.Excellent location and already missing morning coffee on “our” bench on the seafront.Would highly recommend The Reef to anyone and will use again on our next visit from UK.

Great base in Tauranga

Fabulous location right in the heart of the Mount.  Just a stones throw from the beach where our boys surfed.We were in a Partial Sea View Room which was amazing - the apartments spacious and a bonus having 2 bathrooms.  Clean and tidy.Pools were great - nice having a heated pool and the spa was perfect for soaking in at the end of the day.

Perfect Break Away

Our stay totally exceeded our expectations. The apartment was much larger than I expected (living area) and the patio doors opened out to steps toward the pool. The property is also right across the road from a beach access point. A lovely family/dog-friendly cafe just down the road. We will definitely return!

Fabulous for a family trip!

A terrific apartment block with excellent amenities, very nice leisure pool and across the road from the beach. 3km from Mt Maunganui and 2km from the shops restaurants and bars. So a quieter area than town centre. That was a plus for us. The only con in the Reef is that the second bedroom has no window. There is a high level opaque glass block window which gives some light from the corridor. But heh, you sleep in the bedroom so it’s not a great sacrifice for all the very positive things about the Reef. Go there. You will not be disappointed. And it’s a bit less expensive that comparable apartment close to the centre.

Amazing apartment. Modern, spotlessly clean. Great leisure swimming pool. Across the road from the beach. What more do you want?  3km from Mt Maunganui a 15 walk to the town and restaurants or a 3 minute drive. This is a plus. It’s a bit quieter than being in town and a bit less expensive. Cons?  Only one really. The second bedroom is a bit small and has no window in it. There is a high level opaque window which takes some corridor light into the room. But heh, most of the time in your room you are asleep. So a minor problem.
