Brilliant facilities in an awesome location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good beach suitable for children. Good cafes very close.

Excellent park, huge but well laid out, super friendly staff at reception too. Lovely bar and restaurant over the road, a 1 minute walk! It’s right on the beach which is postcard gorgeous as well. Facilities fabulous, clean and easy to find, showers are charged for and timed but it didn’t bother us, water is a precious commodity. Short drive to Wainui Falls too 💕

Our motel was great value for the price. Fantastic view, virtually on the beach, everything we needed to self cater and great weather🤣

None of the pitches have a view of the beach. The premium pitches (NZ$10 surcharge) are not necessarily worthwhile; they are narrower (but longer) but sheltered from the wind by a hedge that protects them from the sun from midday onwards. The other pitches are a bit wider, at around ten metres, offering more privacy. The access to the long, flat sandy beach is ideal, making the stay worthwhile for that alone – and justifying the relatively high price (showers cost extra). A few nice restaurants and a small grocery store are opposite the campground. 

Perfect for our 3 night stay.  The 2 bedroom motel was comfortable and clean.  Perfect location.  Kids had a great time. Thank you!

Such a great, safe, clean campsite close to the beach.  Plenty of space great playground for the kids 

Family friendly, clean facilities, right on the beach.  The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a well stocked shop next to the office and a bar/cafe across the road.

We loved our stay at Pohara!! Great sized tent site, awesome location, so many things to do within the area, swimming, jet ski, biking, golf, hiking!! 
Fabulous friendly & helpful staff who were working hard over the extremely busy Xmas/New Year period. 
Kids love their holidays here and are already counting down to our return at the end of the year.

A comfortable stay right on the beachfront.  All facilities on the campsite kept clean.  Loved the giant chess set.

Great Location

Fabulous stay!!

First time staying at Pohara and first time travelling in our caravan. We fell in love with Pohara. The Top 10 camp was spotless and very well equipped, right down to a large fish filleting table. The fishing was excellent. 
Nothing seemed a problem to the crew, who were very friendly and outgoing. 
We will be back.

Pohara paradise

We love the place with its looming cliffs and broad beach, waves, birds and stupid dogs that will never catch a bird but always are out there to give us entertainment. Swimming excellent and close by to Tata Beach and the national park. Takaka a wonderful little town with a value all about eccentricity.

Had a fantastic 3 night stay in this very well equipped and clean camping ground. We are an older couple stayed in an unpowered tent site right next to the beach. Didn’t matter it was unpowered as the kitchen which was exceptionally clean was close by for our cooking. Really friendly and helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend Top 10 Pohara for an enjoyable stay. Really close to lots of fun activities and places to eat 

A gorgeous camping ground

Every thing was great until we went to bed …motel was directly opposite the bar and grill where we had our dinner …then someone drove away from there and hit the road markers right outside our room…and we had to go outside to see what was going on…2 of the road markers were broken..a bit scary..not the best spot if you want peace and quiet

great place to stay while accessing all that Golden Bay has to offer, short drive to Wainui falls, Anatoki salmon farm and the gateway to farewell spit. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at top 10 - a bar frdige in the mini cabins would be awesome but survived without - camp was clean and kitchen and shower facilities are well placed in the camp. would stay here again :)

right on the beach, a relaxing place to stay

We stayed in one of the self contained units that was right on the beach. The property was quiet and had all the comforts that we needed. It is a remote location but with a small town nearby, we had plenty to do to keep us busy (even though the weather was rainy almost the entire time we were there).
