As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the amazing Vivian. She is a source of everything Rotorua. She offered us a tea or coffee, pulled out a local map, and started to help plot some of our pre organized experiences into a logical order with add ons including the wonderful Memorial Grove Redwood walk which is very close to her lodging. She made suggestions of places to eat, and other opportunities in the area. We were only there for two nights but Vivian made us feel like family. Each morning she sat with us through breakfast and e enjoyed our conversations and interactions with her and other guests. When we had to leave early on our day of departure, it was no problem for Vivian to get up early and make sure we left after a good breakfast. The room we stayed in had everything we needed. Having such an attentive host made our stay even more remarkable.
