Great stay, the room had everything we needed and facilities were clean and it is very close to the ferry

It was really nice and cozy and everything was very clean during our stay (including the shared spaces). The owner was nice and the surrounding area was nice and quiet.

The cabin was comfortable, all i needed for one night

Such a clean and well looked after property! I wasn't in a camper. But it was so well. Looked after and the guy what checked me in, well I just felt like the only guest (which I wasn't). Worth every penny. Thanks

Great little camp in the heart of Picton, could hear the ferry traffic, very tidy and clean, everything you require for an overnight or two

We recently booked a night here, ready to cross on the ferry. It is exceptionally clean facilities. In the kitchen there was crockery and cutlery etc for public use. The showers were spotless. 
It is a five minute drive to the ferry terminal, so an excellent site for an early morning crossing. Would definitely recommend it. Wi-Fi was good and staff were great.

Basic cabin, toilets, showers and kitchen were clean and well maintained.  The aroma in the kitchen was very uninviting. Believe  it was just a combination of old food smells. Really needed to be aired out. Kitchen not open till 7am. With the number of people there for the early barge would be better of the hot water was available before that time.

Spotlessly clean facilities

I booked this site as part of a New Zealand north and south camper van trip over the festive period 2022/23. Coming from England it was important that we had a guaranteed site with amenities in the middle of some freedom camping. This site is ideally located 2 minutes from the ferry and 10 minutes walk into town. A limited number of pitches but this only made it better in our opinion. A great welcome from the hostess, everything you could wish for (laundry and iron are available)- free showers and kitchen are spotless and wifi no problem. An absolute pleasure to stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Top Quality Site

Modern amenities. Clean and roomy showers with no time limit or cost. 3 minute drive to the ferry and about 1 km walking distance to dog park and town. The only downside is the perfect location next to the ferry also means you get the continual truck noise through the night. Recommend ear plugs or a couple of stiff drinks for a good night's sleep

Perfect location

Great site. Perfect for the late ferry arrivals before heading off again the next morning. 
Lovely hot showers and spacious shared spaces. 
Small site but with clearly laid out pitches and each with power if wanted and a picnic bench. 
And finally - a campervan site that offers UNLIMITED FREE FAST WiFi!!!! We couldn’t believe it. Meant we finally had a chance to download stuff to watch in the van on nights when we were saving money and not going out! 
Friendly receptionist, close to the small town and all round good place.

Perfect location for the Interislander ferry, and the town of Picton itself is lovely, definitely worth a wander around if you have time. Cannot fault this site at all, a small site but all hard-standing, kitchen, tv room, showers, laundry all great facilities. All clean. Showers were warm. All round a good stay.

Perfect Location - Great Site!

We stayed for 2 nights while in Picton and were happy with our choice. The toilets and showers are very clean and well maintained, and include a hairdryer. 
The site is well lit (without being too bright to sleep), and the wifi is really good and not limited to mb per device like a lot of places.
Only negative for me; the noise from the roads. This must be on the main lorry route through town, as we could hear them all through the night, from both roads that sandwich the park. Thankfully we’re used to noise so it didn’t affect our sleep, but I was shocked how loud they were and how continual.
Great location for the ferry terminal too, literally a 5 minute drive which was appreciated when we had our 8am ferry and needed to be there for 7am!

Good location, clean amenities

I stayed in one of the little cabins for one night and was pleasantly surprised. Room was cosy and had a good size bed, a couch, a small table and chairs, a good size TV. It was at the beginning of March, so did not have any temperature extremes over night, but the room did have a heater and a fan avaliable if needed. There are communal ablution facilities (separate male and female) which were very clean. There is also a communal kitchen/dining/lounge area. It is on a main road, so did have a bit of traffic noise at times, but I did not find it excessive. Town centre is only a short drive away and I'm sure most would find it an acceptable walking distance. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and check in was fast and easy.I think the stay was very good value for money and I'd happily stay here again.

All the basics for a good price.

My husband and I booked for a night in January as we were passing through. Price was great and the camp was spotless. We had a cabin for the night and it was clean and cosy. Double bed ,couch, fan and tv were in the cabin. The kitchen/lounge and toilets were super clean. Definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

Excellent

This was a very comfortable cabin on a campervan site. It was positioned close to the amentities block where drinks and cooking facilities were available for cabin guests. The room had a comfortable settee for relaxing or watching television. There was also a table & 2 chairs, a heater and fan. The bed was very comfortable and pleasingly presented together with shower towels.It was very close to the centre of the town, a petrol station nearby was excellent for refuelling before the onward journey and ferry terminals were within a few minutes drive. We will definitely use this again on future visits and to be able to spend more time in Picton.
