Peppertree Lodge - Hostel

Peppertree Lodge is a very friendly and well-run backpackers located just a few mins walk from Paihia Beach and the town centre. As a family with two teenage kids we took one of the rooms with a double, bunk beds and an en-suite. It was a small room with a tiny bathroom, but we didn't spend much time there as the communal facilities were really great with plenty of room to sit, eat and relax. The manager, Josh was really friendly and helpful. There were a couple of sit-on kayaks that were available to guests to borrow FOC and we used these to explore the bay. Generally we found the place to be pretty quiet at night, despite being right opposite some of the noisiest bars, but I guess this was because we had a room at the back !
