We stayed for 1 night over Waitangi weekend at this delightful B&B situated on a beautiful small lake. The wonderful hosts Sharon and David gave us a lovely welcome and lots of suggestions of what to do in the area. A very comfortable large bed in a separate bedroom. Good free Wifi. Modern apartment close to The Dunes GC where we had a good meal. Would definitely stay again hopefully in the future and are happy to recommend to friends.

This was a first for us using a B & B, but we wanted to spend a couple of nights in Matarangi as part of our trip and motel options were limited here probably given the proximity to the much larger Whitianga.
The pros - spotlessly clean, comfy bed (2 queen beds available), comfy lounge suite with seating inside at a table for 2 and more outside on the deck attached to main living and bedroom. Modern and large bathroom, good shower. Large TV with satelite dish, kettle, tea, Jeds coffee bags (one of our favourites), microwave, toaster and good sized fridge. The breakfasts were continental with muesli, bread for toast, with both jam and marmalade and butter or margarine, canned and fresh fruit and yogurt. Dishes taken care of by the hosts and breakfast replenished daily.
A good range of DVDs and board games if you needed an indoor day. The compendium with local things to do etc was also a helpful addition. 
Very close to The Dunes Golf Club and walks to the beach, but on a quiet street and set on a small lake, so very pleasant area. 
Cons - no sink in the kitchenette area, but easy to fill the kettle from the bathroom/bath. TV1 reception intermittent, but seemed isolated to that one channel. No Sky TV, but not a huge issue for us. 
No heat pump, but the wall mounted fan heater worked well for us in the time we were there. 
Sharon our host was very pleasant to deal with. 
Overall there was little we could fault with the place and it was well laid out and made for a comfortable stay and really fairly priced against motels elsewhere. 


This is a lovely B&B.  Would definitely stay here again.  Bed was really comfortable.  No air con was the only negative.  The owners were great & as we accidentally packed on of the towels, we need to contact them to pay for it. Very quiet.  We should have stayed 2 days, as there is so much to see in the area.  Breakfast was catered for and was lovely.

We've just finished a 4 night stay at the Harbour Drive B&B and were very impressed. The accommodation is an independent wing of the house with a shared entrance. This includes a bedroom, living area and bathroom with separate toilet. The room was spotlessly clean with some of the comfiest furnishings ever. The breakfast is topped up daily with fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and bread (for toasting). David and Sharon were very friendly and happy to do whatever they could to make our stay more enjoyable. Overall we found the stay fantastic value for money and it exceeded our expectations. The location is actually a great spot with most of Coromandel's sights within easy reach. Do not hesitate and book this one!

Great place, awesome hosts, perfect base to visit all of the local attractions. You could find yourself staying a long time, we relaxed, walked on the local beaches and would love to come back. We were very impressed with the whole package. I don't think the pictures online do it justice and neither have I! 



This is certainly one of the best places I've been in New Zeland. Modern comfortable space, with top of the line materials. Owners are super friendly and welcoming. Views are gorgeous and the place is private. The place shows great attention to detail, whith all the commodities you might need (parking, breakfast, wifi). 
Certainly a lovely place to come back to.

The best B&B we have been to. Superb hospitality. Beautifully maintained, warm, clean rooms.Own bathroom including a lovely deep bath.Private sitting lounge an added bonus for a B&B. Incredible continental  breakfasts with homemade muesli & yoghurt. Plenty of fresh fruit too.
Quiet & lovely surroundings  with great opportunities  to walk locally & drive to the highlights of the Coromandel.
Highly recommend  this quality accommodation.
